I am my own individualA light skinned Hawain,Lummi native.
Somtimes I am accepted beacause of my skin alone
I am a city raised child
Hopscotching from house to house making and leaving good friends
So i've kept it going
Hoping to be remembered
Without raised voices
Trudging through my own emotiong to be as happy as i can
But seeing the negitive qualitys when alone in life
Remembering the heartbreak,wishing to go back in time
wishing to move on with somthing new
Moving on from the outside, lingering there inside
Searching? looking for somone somthing?
Unable to find the light at the end of the tunnel, what now?
Looking, arrows point to every place possible
Wandering around the "this way" and "that way" signs
Fight the element of confusion or sadness
Breaking away from the chains binding us there, only to be welded back
Pain is only a symbol to show your alive and to keep living
To move away completely is impossible, yet i search for the end
Today and every day after is what "you" must make of it
So I will stop lingering on the pain, settle this storm in my mind
And start a new
