I wasn't wrong when I said that the truth about Zell was worse than they thought.

Zell is a powerful magic user who was born into a cult but his magic weakening his heart and almost killed him. His parents made a deal with a dark god who took an interest in the boy and decided that they would help the parents who were told that the god would agree to help if a blood sacrifice was made but didn't tell them that it had to be their blood. They already had it prepped and did the sacrifice before the god could tell them anything so they went along with it and tricked the parents. The god gave up their own life energy and power to the boy and encased his heart in crystal that would protect it until he was grown. Most thought that the crystal would eventually break and he would continue living but it didn't. The crystal grew with Zell and gave him power. Zell knew he was strong and was always told about the god to blessed him and the conditions of that blessing. On his 13th birthday, he heard the voice of the god in his mind and they explained the truth and told him that if he truly wanted power, he had to kill his parents. The power went to his head and he easily ended their lives, gaining full access to the power he was gifted and pretty much became the god. He took over the cult and became the leader after killing off the leader.

Zell is manipulative, cunning and powerful. He knows it and knows how to gain more power. He has no qualms of tricking people in to doing what he wants and will do whatever he has to do get what he wants. None will deny him as he is almighty, he is the Master.
