Let me explain the title
From around my area (Pennsylvania), there's a kind of icecream called Crazy Vanilla- it uses these same hues of pink/reds and blues that are included in this amazingly rusted gate I found in Austria.

I could have stared at this gate for hours... but that would have been quite odd to other bystanders (considering we were suppose to be looking at what was behind the gate- not AT it.)

"In my city, there is an ice cream parlor that sells a specific kind of vanilla that is blue and pink in color. Befittingly sold as the flavor “Crazy Vanilla”, I titled this piece in reference to it. In a way, seeing this wonderfully colored chipped gate in Austria, while I was overseas, reminded me of home. My common theme of giving an appealing title to an otherwise inedible object brings recognition to it’s own unique beauty."
