Description As the myriad of protesters assembled to march through the streets of Portland, this young lady positioned herself right in front of the line. I shot about 30 photos of her while she played with her gum and danced around the puddle of water. As you can imagine I had a horrible time choosing which one to post as they were all pretty fantastic!

I used to have this work in my favorites in my former account. I'm re-adding it. Once again, great work!

This is amazing. Im in love with your protest rally photos! I love seeing children walking around with signs like these, these are the kids who will fight for whats right in a crumbling capital. The intensity in some of these photos on peoples faces is just... I cant find a word for it. Great Job.
ps: if you know of any peace rallys around the Baltimore Maryland area Pass it on.

Thank you so much I don't know of anything coming up soon, but you can start preparing yourself for the five year anniversary of the Iraq invasion and illegal occupation protest in Washington DC. That protest will likely take place March 15th. You should keep your eyes on these two websites: [link] and [link]

I just wish that more children were like this. The natural instinct of human is pain = bad but so many children just adopt their parents' philosophy... I wish I knew if this kid was here, doing that because of her parents or because she doesn't want people to die. Probably both... It's both joyful and sorrowful, though likely because I'm cynical... Anyways. Great shot!

all children want peace... peace = safe and that is what they desire most...

True, but they also want the approval and love of their parents, and manymany children don't see peace on a global scale, but in their own homes. IE, when mom and dad fight. Which does make it so much better to see a child who does think that way. It's wonderful to see ANY person who thinks that way.

it's just something about seeing kids in a place that seems rather harsh and angry like a protest march

Gorgeous! honestly, because of the composition of the shot, I don't even notice the people in the background until someone else mentions it, the girl is just too enthralling

Lovely picture!

To see so young kids doing stuff like that.. it's a little moving.. One girl like that changes more than a hundred furious men.
