Vanessa from King of fighters. Also the first REDUX poll winner!Vanessa was a pretty creative character when SNK brought her into KOF. She felt more conservative in design than later characters introduced into the series and she seemed like a perfect fit that had been there for years. I was particularly happy that her outfit felt like something that a person would actually fight in, instead of the normal big boob chick wearing ridiculously sparse clothing.
Anyways, my design has Vanessa looking a little younger than her in game counter part, and a little bit more sexy and stylish but without going too overboard. I still wanted to keep her outfit relatively fighter friendly, so I made her clothes a little looser yet kept her simple design intact.
She now has a vest suit that she is wearing for her top which is a bit more revealing and is also sporting new leather chaps. I also couldn't leave out her trademark tie so I altered the color and made her wear the tie more like a scarf so its more stylish.
She is still a pretty sexy girl imo, but this new look makes her that much more so

To think that when she and Seth both debuted in KOF2000 fans assumed that Seth would be the boxer and not Vanessa. This new outfit does allow her to be able to continue being a speed demon. I see that her arms are wrapped up in bandages as you expect for someone who relies on their fists. Is it rule that women in the King Of Fighters dislike bras. Vanessa doesn't have much going on in the chest department.
The tie doesn't look right with that blouse in my view.
Thankfully her chaps do cover up her legs.

Thanks, the pencils are done with mechanical pencil on 11x17 paper, then the inks and colors are all photoshop.

BTW I'd like you to make a redux of Ramon, Seth and Lin. Especially Seth, since he's pretty much designed as a boring character.

I'm not sure I'm one to say this, but as much as I do love her design here, I'm not sure how the bandages around her hands really fit. I personally think she'd be a little sexier and more intimidating with a pair of leather gloves. But, that's just my opinion.

Her costume looks very nice and I really love her pants and the tie - sooo cool! But I don't really like how young she looks in here - one of the different things about the original Vanessa is that she's an older, mature woman, when all the female chars in fighting games were young lollis..

Yah I was really happy with the solution I came up with for the tie, I didn't want it to look to close to the original and the tie was the big thing that made her what she is. So I was glad I could keep it but make it different.
