Description This is a crocheted tote I made entirely from the plastic grocery bags. I cut the grocery bags in 1.25in strips, and looped them together to create my yarn or "plarn" as it's called. Then I used a pattern from myrecycledbags.com as a starting point. This bag is roughly 15in wide, 12in tall, and 6in deep. Since this was my first real crochet project it took me many many hours, and quite a few bags.

That's a great way to use those bags! I have the bottom of my closet full of them... maybe, I could do something like this... lol...
