Religion and Science are used to take an fundamentally chaotic universe or a universe that is beyond our understanding and put it into a box with understandable rules.

It's about a brand. one size fits all, and then also, beside the Jesus burger, there are the "church builders" or "gospel bringers" which carry out (haha) divine motives of order, happiness, etcetera. Translated into food, I think it's a perfect metaphor, because food is the big unanswered question by religions... my goodness, Jesus loves us, but where's the Jesus for the Animals? God is all about the humans and bears no animal resemblance? It may also have something to do with gluttony, but I prefer to think it's mostly about the Watered-Down aspects. Christianity can taste like some stale fries or a cheapo McDonald's burger, because people are nestled into their comfortable religion, whether or not they actually have found the truth within.

So many ways to translate it...and that's why I love it so much. You know, when people modernize classical pieces such as this it always gets my attention and I enjoy the humor...as well as the symbolism.
