Yes, I am leaving deviantArt like many many Artists before me.
Why?
I could write you a very long paragraph of why I lost intrested and motivation in keeping up my profile, but for simplicity I will make a keyword list with a short explanation:

Salty people - People who bash other peoples work (thankfully mostly not mine) just for the sake of making them feel bad about themselves. This happens way to regular and it is actually the main reason I leave. Feedback is okay, but it has to be reasonable and well explained and YOU FUCKING HAVE TO SAY SOMETHING NICE. I don't know if those people skipped kindergarten, but wtf is wrong with you? You can't just walk around and hate on peoples artwork. It doesn't matter if it is oh so flawed, you just can't hate on people! This is the worst attitude. Does it make you happy when people cry or feel insecure about their art? God, art is something wonderful, it is a happy thing, IT SHOULD MAKE YOU HAPPY. And not sad. So everyone who happens to face such behaviour, please block them, don't feed their hate with a comment back. Block them. If this doesn't help, create a new account or leave dA. You should be happy. You should feel good about your art. You deserve at least that piece of happiness!
Fanart - Don't get me wrong, I love Fanart just as much as you do, but it is honestly so boring that the "Poplular Last xx Hours/Days/Month" ist mostly filled with Fanart. Great Artwork, awesome Concept Art (I am stressing again: I don't talk about my artwork which is not on a proffesional level, it is just something I generally noticed when browsing dA ) don't get the attention they deserve.
Not rewarding - Quite a follow up to the previous point, dA is not rewarding anymore. Means, you can have spent DAYS working on an Artwork, chances are, if you don't have thousands of followers, that you get proparly about 10 favs top (if you upload it on tons of groups). It's just...exhausting. We all want feedback, we all want a shoulder pat that says we have done fine (you can't convince me otherwise, doesn't matter what you say) and it is just so frustrating if you don't get at least some attention.
Lack of diversity - The generic anime pictures. I love them. You love them. But since I started studying Game Art (4 years ago) I became more intrested in diverse art styles and intresting character designs and compositions. If you don't dig veeeeeery deep in groups or in the most popular tag of a specific section, you won't see that. Of course there a some execptions - but those are rare and I don't have the time to spend all day on dA. Instagram or tumblr for example are way more diverse and you can see really amazing artists there. All you have to browse is the "Character Design" - tag. DA just doesn't work for me anymore.

If think those are the main reasons. You don't have to understand me, it is just, dA is for me the wrong place to show off my artworks.
I will - of course - finish the contest prizes for Alanica and Juu-xo . I will upload it on sta.sh or I will sent you a Mail or a Google Drive link, whatever you prefer.
