I said that he wouldn't be as complicated as Nochtli...which is mostly true. He did come out with a few more tribal things than I had initially anticipated. He can't help it, he likes to look good.

Oh, and yes, that is a giant wooden gauge. He has another in the other ear. Usually his hair hides them though.

Personality:// To put it simply, Kengali is a ridiculous goofball. It is hard to find him without a smile on his face, even in the hardest of times. He loves to laugh and do silly things, which makes him fairly popular amongst the children of Viridis. He is very sociable, wanting to attend every festival and gathering that he can, however he is a bit naive and doesn't know when to stop or when his seemingly endless energy has pushed someone a bit too far. In his effort to make friends with EVERYONE he sometimes makes friends with the wrong people, which earned him his scars.
History:// Kengali was a little ball of sunshine from the moment he was born, in both his light appearance and demeanor, which is how he earned his name, a variation on the word 'sun' in Kanuri, a dialect in Nigeria. He loved most every thing he saw and did, and was very curious about his surroundings. This got him into trouble, as one can imagine, and on a few occasions it nearly cost him his life, and others'. The death of his mother came as she gave her life for him in an encounter with a hungry bachelor lion, a trap Kengali's curious mind was easily led into. After his mother's death, his father grew more and more depressed, inspiring Kengali to adopt a perma-smile in an attempt to cheer him. Following the death of his father during Kengali's 19th year, he followed the whispers of others mentioning the Valley of Siyyon. Curiosity led him to the area, and it managed to get him in trouble again. The first inhabitant he came across was the ocelot Nochtli, and he realized he was certainly in a realm that he ought not be in. She was charming, however, and exotic, so he stayed with her for a few days, listening to her tales of the Valley. It was when she snuggled into him, her nose in his neck, that he first felt fangs sliding across his skin. He jerked away, and in the process gained a few ragged scars from her claws. Panting, he glanced back at her as she tried to tempt him in again, but for once logic took a hold of him and he made his way out onto the plains, where he eventually found where he was meant to be.
