So...this has been on my brain since I let Icy have her birthday request from me. Today was the first time I actually was able to get around to it. That WHOLE time I was like "Self, this is a bit labor intensive for a birthday present" and my self responded, "Well, self. It's necessary. And the only thing I want to do for this situation. So there."

Ahh. So i very much meant to comment on this a very long time ago.
This is so stunning. Carbon's expression, and just face in general is gorgeous.
I adore the poses of the two of them - and the animation is AWESOME.
What i love most about this is the cave walls and ground. They are so perfectly colored
and shaded. i will not lie, the texture is perfect. When the light up, its just wonderful, very professional looking.
Dom's shadow is just so ominous (: i loveee it!

And it's amazing at how good the picture still looks, I once tried to make a gif and then I almost cried when I saw the quality of the picture

Yeah, sometimes it really eats up the colors and makes it look horrendous. That actually happened with this, but it's not as bad as it cold be.

Thanks! 8D It wasn't that difficult actually. Animation is mostly following your intuition and realizing that getting the jist across is the best you can do. I find myself more relaxed with my art if it's animated. xD

really? what program do you use? I always used photoshop but I'm sure there are better programs out there for animating like Flash and all that jazz

I know you keep making me say this every time you upload something amazing, but I'm gonna say it again. YOU ARE JUST MIND BLOWING!!! You really do just find this magical way to outdo yourself CONSTANTLY! This piece is just as gorgeous, and touching as it is ominous and borderline terrifying! Having Domeru's shadow in the storm is such a perfect touch! And the way poor Monti is leaning against Carbon for comfort is just so precious! The lighting is just phenomenal, and the rain looks lovely as well! I agree with others who have said this looks like it could be cut right out of a scene from a movie! Something about the stern expression on Carbon's face is sooo capturing! You are just...wow, girl...very wow! XD

Yes, it is supposed to be very ominous indeed, though with how cute Monti is it's hard to feel TOO frightened by the possibilities. At first I was going to have him comforting her more actively, but I figured this was better. Just staring out into the storm, possibly hallucinating Domeru's appearance.

I think we all feel that way sometimes. But that's why we need friends to remind us of how awesome we really are XDD.
And yes, it's actually perfectly perfect just the way it is. I doubt Carbon has it in him to be TOO much more comforting these days, but he serves his purpose properly I think, and I like the idea that he might just be imagining his darker brother out there, as the two are both rather insane XD.

I sure this took days to do lol. Everything about it- I LOVE SO MUCHHHH. 
The fact that Domey is looming in the darkness is about the coolest thing I've ever seen. The fact that he only appears every so many flashes makes it incredibly real looking. I watched this about 300 times already to see him keep popping up. xD The rain is so realistic as well... I can imagine how difficult that was to animate!!!!!
Even the rocks on the walls around them are so detailed. It's almost a shame you can't see them better.

Hahaha, pshhhh. I doubt it. Just threw some animation on there, really. It's not as complicated as one might think, however I've been doing it so long. 
Like I said, it wasn't that terrible. I think the worst part was painting the cave, because I had to redo it a few times before I got it to be somewhat presentable. I'm sad that the GIF kind of nommed it right up, but I knew I couldn't make it a video because, well, there'd be no loop. |P Second most annoying was posing those legs that you love so much, especially Monti's because her neck is twisted in an awkward and probably impossible position! It was certainly a challenge to draw them from that angle, but after a few tries they seemed to work out alright. And again, my brain DEMANDED IT. It is honestly the first time something has come out as I imagined it and I'm so happy. I'm also happy that it made your day. x3
Domeru was required to lurk out there, even though there's no figure of him to be seen in the darkness. I'm thinking that maybe it's a hallucination of Carbonas's due to his paranoia?

Even the rain is moving outside and Monti's expression is so sweet. The lightning effect in the cave itself is very clever too, it is very realistic and could be right out of a movie :]

Thank you so much! I know it doesn't make any sense at all that Domeru is out there in the rain, but I'm kind of thinking it's Carbonas' hallucination maybe? I'd be paranoid too if I knew someone was following me to come kill me.
I worked hard on trying to get that flash in the cave right, especially the really bright one. Overall I'm pleased with the result.
