Description QR's AC16 (USATC S118) 221A (the A standing for America, as there was already a C16 class, and a locomotive with the number 221), dropping off passengers at Roma Street Station, Brisbane, for the Mystery Tour.

Due to the strain of the second world war, QR needed more locomotives, so 20 locomotives of this class were shipped over from America under a lend-lease scheme. They were built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works, Philadelphia, USA, but underwent some changes to help them suit their lives here.

Two remain from the class, 221A and 218A, which is currently on the Zig Zag Railway in NSW [link] The class is nicknamed the "MacArthurs."
