Description I watched a show on Animal Planet called "Dragons: A Fantasy Made Real" and it really amazed me.

THIS is a dragon from the late Cretaceous Period. These magnificent beasts were the largest creatures to ever take to the wing: big enough to rival the mighty Tyrannosaurus rex.

These dragons, proportionally, weren't able to fly. But thanks to unique bacteria in their stomach, the gas these microbes secreted was dominantly hydrogen. This gas was sent to a pair of "flight bladders" and helped to lighten the beast.

Hydrogen also played a dominant role in the fire breath of dragons. Dragons of several kinds made their territories in places rich in platinum. When hydrogen meets platinum and oxygen, it combusts.

Me too. It took dragons and explained them scientifically. I LIKE science.

I like this dragon, but wasn't it dark gray above? Plus, I think the horns a little too high. I assure you, I'm not criticisin' your work on it, I'm just pointin' out a few details is all. Other than that, I like it.

It seemed a deep red to me, but maybe it had a few dark gray patches.

And I think I saw a male on the show with horns longer than the juvenile.

With all due respect, I recall the prehistoric dragon havin' red just on the horn tips and along his snout. Also, I meant that the horns on your prehistoric dragon are pointin' too far upward; I recall 'em bein' more... backward-pointin'. As for the color pattern, I meant dark gray above and off-white below- y'know a kind of countershadin' sort of pattern. Don't get me wrong, I like your prehistoric dragon, but I just wanted to clear up on a few details. That's all I'm sayin'.

Only bachelor males had red markings. the mountain dragons had much greater variety in color

At least that's the impression I get from the Animal Planet Mountain Dragon bio.
