⭐Universe: Hero Universe ⭐

In the aftermath of Alison's transformation, her life quickly went into a downward spiral. Her friends and family were a bit taken aback by her appearance, as well as most people she met with some being less than friendly. As a result she became increasingly withdrawn, eventually dropping out of college and spending most of her time locked away in a cheap apartment. Her newfound mutated insectoid physiology came with a unique ability to communicate with insects, which also seemed to draw them to her. This lead to her apartment becoming infested with all manner of disgusting insects such as cockroaches, furthering her disgust at herself and her new existence.

Forced to cope with now being her own phobia, Alison took to heavy drinking and substance abuse to try and make it day by day. Though her new physiology also proved quite resilient, and it was of little help. She would go on to become less and less bothered by insects in general, finding solace in the only companions in her life. And eventually she took to small criminal activities like robbing stores to get by, and assumed the name Swarm during these activities.

As Swarm Alison is covered in a tough insectoid exoskeleton, has the ability to communicate with and control insects and other creepy crawlers, and can sprout wings, as well as spider-like limbs tipped with poisonous barbs.

Some more Swarm. One of my favorite characters in Hero Universe. A bit of a tragic character, though she does grow to become a formidable supervillainess. AI was very difficult in getting her to look just right. She doesn't have antennae (as seen here). Some more info on her backstory can be found here .
