The Thigarians are a race of humans hailing from Thigar on the world of Vir.

Thigar is an ancient land of kings and tribal warrior clans inhabited mainly by humans. The landscape itself is comprised of rolling green hills, valleys, rocky mountains, and dense forests. The land is home to many human settlements and cities, the most notable being the ancient city of Eldgarth. While the land is beautiful it is also at times harsh and dangerous. A number of races besides humans can be found here such as the cat-like Praakar, the subterranean Saurians, as well as monsters like hill giants, werewolves, and covens of hag witches.

Thigarians themselves are a strong, tough, and hardy people with a clan based warrior culture with honorable traditions. These warrior peoples make their homes in the hills and rugged mountains, often holding sway over their own territories and not uncommonly are known to engage in clan wars. Thigarians are often easily distinguished by the tribal warpaints and tattoos adorning their skin, usually on the face and sides of the head. These markings usually denote clan identity. They also frequent unique hairstyles where the sides of the head are shaven to display the clan tattoos. Thigarians being a warrior culture, are known to actively hunt and test themselves against the various monsters, beasts, and hostile races that inhabit their lands. Though not all follow the same clan based culture with some living among general human society and following the same cultures and customs.
