Not one of your best bro, composition is still quite awesome, but I think the cloud position could have been better, It would also look like the colors are a bit posterized (too much contrast?) Sorry bud, this one isn't doing it for me

Beautiful. I like the contrast between the light field and the dark Sky in the upper part of the shot. It makes the atmosphere a bit... can't find the right word... uneasy maybe? An interesting effect.

Under ordinary circumstances, I'd say the path through the field bisects the picture too much. However it seems that it has just enough of an angle to it that it subtly pulls the eye to towards the right, and kinda skews the whole "right down the middle" perspective.

That, and it's just plain beautiful.

seenew In reply to DimensionSeven [2007-10-15 21:27:16 +0000 UTC]

Yeah. I've been meaning to get some ND filters. I want to do long exposures in daylight.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

DimensionSeven In reply to seenew [2007-10-16 09:37:51 +0000 UTC]

For that, ND400 is needed at least, and only the screw-in type is preferred for long expos. My Cokin ND8 is useless in daylight for long expos, even combined with grad ND8 and polarizer.
You may also try an IR filter, for bodies with strong hot mirrors it also does the job, the IR effect is just a bonus.

Yeah, I was thinking 400 or 800, do they make 800?

Semmi különös. Ami a városban látnivaló, az a Széchenyi tér és a Dóm tér, talán még a Tettye. Ilyen helyeket, mint ahol ez készült, bármelyik kukoricaföldön találhatsz. Azért köszi.

shrekutza In reply to DimensionSeven [2007-10-14 11:28:49 +0000 UTC]

you haven't done anything in ps?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

DimensionSeven In reply to shrekutza [2007-10-14 11:35:56 +0000 UTC]

in ps not much (added more black to the blues and cyans and cloned a few houses in the far background).
the editing (levelling, pushing the colors and vignetting a bit) was done while developing from the NEF.
The result is basically what you could see with your own eyes at the scene (2 more are in the pipeline from that day... )
