Description
A tribute to . He's a respectable, kind sir and an awesome artist. He's one of that persons, I'll allways look up to. He was so nice and drew me as one of his characters. I felt so honoured and I'm proud to have him as a friend.It's Baal, one of his haku-hasin stags drawn in my style. Sorry, I couldn't find a coloured version of Baal, so I improvised and I hope, it's okay. And because I never smoked, I don't know how to hold a pipe but I know, that it's absolutely wrong, haha ^__^
It's the first time, that I've drawn all outlines with the computer and with a tablet (I didn't like tablets until now. Until I got the awesome program Sai 8D)

Other than the white along the lines, I really like it.
I would like to try Sai eventually, but we have to get my computer fixed before we can load it. D8

It's a good thing that you don't know how to smoke... it's terrible for your lungs and heart. It can also cause cancer and tobacco has poisons in it that are released when it is burned...

^.^; I worked very sketchy on that picture, it was my first one in Sai and took me less then an hour (including the sketch). It's bad, I wasn't sure if I shall post it or not. Yes, give it a try. I hope, you computer will be fixed soon!

I wanted to thank Black-Wolf heart again for his splendid version of my character.
My Baal Haku-Hasin Stag was inspired by David Bowie's version of the Bertholt Brecht character, which is very interesting, because if you look at Black-Wolf heart's wonderful interpretation of my character....He even looks like Bowie...which is good, because I like David Bowie.

A tad of info folks:
Baal's cigar pipe is based on an actual tobacco pipe that came into being in the mid 1920s, and in the post W.W.2 era gained a popularity with sports and adventure writer types. It seems to have it's origins either in Southern Germany or Northern Italy.
The herb that my "Haku-Hasin"(a.k.a."Bambioid") characters smoke is a non addictive,non carcinogenic substance called "Taybek".
It has all the advantages of both Tobacco and Cannabis, but NONE of the detrimental draw backs .(Not unlike Tolkien's "pipe weed")
It does not damage the heart,lungs,gums,or throat tissue(in fact it regenerates them) it does not give you bad breath(in fact, it leaves a minty odor) or yellow ones teeth( it in fact brightens tooth enamel) There is a euphoria, but it is more of a becalming effect that also heightens one's senses without leaving one a witless fool."Taybek" has been a part of Haku-Hasin culture for eons and can be enjoyed as a coffee-like beverage or a chewing gum.
Baal is an ex-military person who still has a few issues to dealt with, the Taybek is NOT so much a crutch as it is simply something Baal enjoys greatly.
I hope this helps you understand the character of Baal a bit more.

Oooh, the lines looks really good for a tablet! That must be a good program (or you're just really super-duper talented, which you are).
XD Good guess, that isn't how a ipe is held, but it is how cigarets(sp?) are held (two of my siblings smoke, both smoke cigarets, and one also smokes a pipe). But, it doesn't really matter. It's just an artistic rendition of smoking a pipe!

Maybe they can be held either way? Because I know at least my Can. sis holds it with the palm facing in (though I tried imagining holding a cogaret the other way and it seems a tad bit uncomfortable).
