Pucci decided to use his Whitesnake to capture little Jolyne to set up as a trap for Jotaro. Honestly, I was kinda hoping this kinda scenario would happen in the manga, then again that would kinda ruin Jolyne´s character if she ended up a damsel in distress. I mean, Araki could've done so and make it fit with her character. Although from what I've heard, he rushed Part 6 in comparison to other JoJo parts.
