Description Oh so many years ago, my dear cousin Maria asked me a deviously innocent question -- What is Music?

She was at the time studying piano and accordion and I was studying classic guitar

I think that moment was a moment of an epiphany
(Please try to watch The Simpsons Movie for the perfect definition of epiphany)

My answer was: Music is the Noise you enjoy

Rock music was a noise our parents had to accept it stoically like the unavoidable hubbub of a near-by construction site
-------------------------------------------------------------

So, now I ask you not so innocently:
What is Photography?

Photography = A combination of two Greek words Phos,Light and Graphein,Write

Photography then literally is a recording of light

This is a 15 seconds recording and was made inside a car moving on a main highway -- Red streaks are cars in front of us, white streaks going left are cars coming the other way -- The green blue streaks on the right is a neon advert -- All other streaks are from fixed light sources

I know this is neither a very pleasing sight nor a breakthrough image
I post it as a gesture of supporting experimental photography

Taken with Nikon FM with a 35mm lens with the best commercial mass produced 35mm film -- The Kodachrome 25

"Not a very pleasing sight", you say, but I like it! It reminds me a little of the "tunnel" through space and higher dimensions at the end of Stanley Kubrick's 2001: A Space Odyssey. If you haven't seen it and don't mind spoilers:

The main character, an astronaut named David Bowman, is transported near the end of the film to an alien world - or rather, a simulation of our own world - by an incredibly advanced alien race. It's the prelude to his transformation and rebirth at their hands as something beyond our comprehension. We don't see this higher race at all (if in fact they can be seen): we merely see through his eyes as he travels through what looks like a tunnel of psychedelic light (I assume that's Kubrick's film shorthand for "advanced higher-dimension experiences that can't be portrayed on film"), for about a 10-minute sequence, before landing - it seems - back on Earth.

Ramble aside, I'm faving this.
