“Severus Snape did not, unfortunately for him, die in the Battle of Hogwarts. Two years after the War, he finds himself without money or a job. Thanks to a meddlesome Magic of Ministry, Severus finds himself forced to participate in a Marriage Lottery and find a wife in three months. To his dismay, the former Potions Master is matched with the granddaughter of Garrick Ollivander and the new Librarian of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. It was bad enough he had to marry but to go to work with his new wife everyday was doubly cruel. Or so Severus Snape thought. She was not his first choice but little did he know she would be his best choice.”

This painting shows Severus and his new wife, Lydia, feeling very out of place at the pink, frilly, and noisy cafe.

I really recommend reading their fic! It's so well-written and Lydia is such an interesting character. And Severus is, of course, magnificently snarky.
