Inspired by Hugo Pratt's Corto Maltese and appearing on a future cover of Eleftherotypia's 9 magazine, its Wednesday supplement of comics and sci-fi.X-TRAS: A few weeks back I did a sketch of this cover on Giganto booth's wallpaper-take-aways during the Comicdom Con 2009. A triumph, truly. Clean lines, simple appearing, yet subtle in the sly complexity. Love the Sepia look and modern yet antique old style new style...really fine Dimkas!!!!

Mr Pratt probably deserves more credit than me in this case; it's his character after all that was the inspiration behind this illustration.
Now, if only I could ever begin to sketch as loosely and confidently as he did!
