Description This is another entry into my Creatures of Zaldor series. As Zaldor is a stand in for North and South America in my fantastical world of Terra, the monsters found on Zaldor are mostly derived from North and South American myths as opposed to European or Asian myths as seen in most fantasy stories.
This is a picture I made of my version of a Gremlin, mythical imp like creatures that appeared in myth of the 20th century, specifically when dealing with Aircraft. They were popularized by a book by Roald Dahl and a 1984 film by Warner Bros. While sometimes seen in fiction in medieval settings alongside dragons and trolls and the like, this is technically anachronistic, as the use of the term 'Gremlin' was coined in the 20th century. They were originally depicted as small humans that were quite , but often devolved into  monkey like creatures, often with bat-like ears over the years. This version I drew here has obvious inspiration from the theatrical gremlins such as bat-like ears, sharp claws and green skin with sparse hair, as well as a monkey like tail

In Zaldor, Gremlins are a type of mischievous Fairy that dislikes and actively seeks to destroy and sabotage technology and their users, particularly technology that disrupts nature. While still pre-industrialized by the time of my main story, they still find a way to tinker with mechanical objects, just in less prominent numbers, and become more of a nuisance as advanced technology becomes more prominent. When not sabotaging machinery, they can be an annoyance none the less, as they can be a bit of a nuisance, but being roughly the size of a baboon, they are only dangerous in large numbers.
