Yeeshhh, dude we went to this place called Ichiran Ramen while were in tokyo that specializes in tonkatsu ramen, so good! They let you choose the thickness of noodles and how flavorful you want the broth and how spicy and what extras to put in and then you go sit in a private booth with a little slot in the front for them to deliver your order without even seeing their faces...after they give you your food they close the flap so that it's just you and the ramen and nothing else. Quite an experience!! It was quite good :3

omg! That sounds soooo intense.. .and sounds like I would need somewhat of a knowledge of japanese to know how to order at this super cool ramen place *u* If it's anywhere near where I'm visiting, I need to check it out!

Haha it was a bit intense, but really good! You actually order using a vending machine at that place....sometimes it helps if you can read chinese b/c of the kanji. But for filling out the details of your order they actually have an english form that we used. A lot of places are actually english friendly, even though it's a bit awkward to communicate they have english menus at many places and you can probably sort of get by, especially at the places where they get more tourists. Ordering food is definitely stressful for the first times but it gets easier i think...
