of a village princess that was extremely beautiful. Instead of learning skills for survival she left to admire herself in the water.
The village warned her to stop her foolishness, but she wouldn't listen. One day
the great spirit sent an owl
to hunt her (owls are silent
fliers.) The owl found the princess admiring herself, swooped in, stealing her face, leaving her faceless for the rest of her life.
