Description A character I'm currently having a darn fine time playing! Ahuska, a Bothan animal handling pro that's part of a clan dedicated to beastmastery.

Awesome! Love the blue eyes especially
I also play a Bothan character in an RPG. They're such an underrated species

Oh my gosh thank you! And OH MY GOSH IT'S YOU!!

I found your art (on tumblr!) shortly after I started playing this girl and getting really keen on her story, haha! Your stuff is gorgeous and super inspiring, Jastra has such a great design. Not gonna lie, was stupidly excited to see you'd dropped a comment on my girl here ^^

Ahuska seems really cool! What's her personality like, if I may ask?

Hahaha!! Well, *I* have if nobody else has!! It's a bit of a weird and random community over there.

But thankyou!! Aaahhh. She's a pretty gentle, sensitive girl, who loves art and animals and the outdoors but had a reasonably sheltered upbringing (despite being adopted and raised by a Mandalorian couple!) and little personal ambition growing up. When she was invited to join a Clan she was over the moon and incredibly excited to prove her worth... but quickly felt very lacking in terms of fighting and general life skills. She very unexpectedly fell head over heels for a rough and crude single-dad bounty hunter and has since been trying desperately to prove to herself that she can keep up with his dangerous lifestyle (even though he doesn't think she has to prove anything) ...but also to prove to his terrifying old friends that she's worth it (because they have very different ideas).

Aww, I love the sound of her personality! I wish Jastra had a friend like that. Was she not born on Bothawui? How was she adopted by a Mandalorian couple?

Naww!!

Her early years are actually a mystery to me!! I've left it really vague and open and have given my husband (who is a diabolical GMing genius!!) the option to fill in the blanks if he ever chooses. ^^ But all I (and Ahuska) know is that she was found alone, probably (but not definitely) orphaned, and taken in by Mandalorians (who seem to do the adoption thing a lot!) when she was only around five years old. She has no solid memory of her original parents, but loved the two humans who raised her as if they were blood. Even the planet she was originally found on is a mystery; as far as she's concerned, Dxun was her childhood home. The Mandalorian saying 'family is more than blood' is something she holds close to her heart, and she's never gone actively chasing after her past.

That said, the story has just landed her on Bothawui for the first time in her memory, and she's about to get a heck of a culture shock!

Haha, our GM is also an evil genius. Curse you Sean
Ho boy, culture shock sounds like an understatement. Jastra loves being a Bothan but even she finds Bothawui overwhelming (having grown up on a tropical island chain on the colony world of Kothlis). You'll have to let me know how she reacts to the intrigue-laden, immensely competitive society on Bothawui.
