Description
I saw the elusive creature in full view today - a female ahuitotl of some sorts. She has got almost all the classic signs of one; the dull colors of her sex, the forward facing eye sockets that are close to the nose, the short snout, muscled anatomy, short, almost nonexistent fur...but the thing that baffles me is the lack of a dexterous tail! Instead in place of one is a smooth tip that sometimes glow. I do not know why it has this, and what caused it. I have my hypothesis but I could be wrong.

She is....breath taking. Like a jaguar with melanin - sleek yet muscled and dark. The moonlight seemed to be absorbed into her skin, but her glowing tail illuminated her just enough. When I saw her my heart almost stopped, and a feeling of fear rose in my throat. I was far away from her and downwind and I only caught a view of her for a moment before she quickly jumped into the river below us with nary a sound. But we locked eyes in that tiny moment and there was no fear.

Deaglan is a field biologist and studies cryptids and their societies. He travels the world to give a voice to those who's are misunderstood or unheard. He mostly works with sentient creatures but dabbles in critters that are akin to the animals of our world.

Ahuitotls have fascinated him since he was a little boy. Not many in his career has met or even seen one. They have been always been a rare type of creature and it is even harder to find one due to their avoidant nature and environment. Even more difficult to see a female of the species.

Nochecita is the daughter of the infamous Ahuitotl (real alias is Antonio) and an unknown pony. Deaglan has his suspicions on her being part pony but they haven't met yet.
