I seriously don't expect a 'wow this is a great comic' from any one, and certainly encourage any one to supply their own narration of these comics.It would be far more entertaining than: 'oh hey, I'm just going to go all environmental on us like you haven't been bombarded with this crap for the last 30+ years'

Very cool merfolk designs. I may just have to make some fanart of your desings, with your permission of course. I'm not even really that fond of mermaid/ men/ folk etc. and yet I feel like this needs to be drawn.

Your backgrounds are lovely. *.* Th-those textures! To tell you the truth they steal away the attention from the characters, which aren't bad, mind you. I think all the blue tones make the background and characters hard to differentiate a little, actually.
If it helps any, at my school we had to make an "environmental awareness campaign" in teams. Because everyone in my team -myself included, heck, the whole class- didn't care and we just wanted it done, we just made the preachiest, most anvilicious (yay tv tropes) and corny posters we could think of and put them in all the places were the most littered. They were up for like two or three months. To my surprise, during those months there was almost no trash.
Sooo, the point I'm trying to get at with my coolstorybro is that sometimes preachy, clichΓ©d messages work too! : D Your desire for a quick script might have been subconsciously onto something, there!

Honestly, I got more fed up with all the zombie-themed stuff that was all the rage like a year or something ago than I am with environmental.
Maybe I am not aged enough.
But it defeats the purpose when I think the oil is really pretty rather than a danger to hot fish men.

Oh It still rages on methinks. I kinda like the who apocalyptic themes. The environmental themes was mostly the 90's and a lot of cartoons went apeshit about telling the generation of kids that 'the planet is dying because of us, you better do something about it.' That's why I was so reluctant in picking out this kind of theme, but time was short, and I needed something simple.

Mm, but by the time The Crazies movie came out I was just angry. After that it died down a little and the undead never actually stopped being awesome. That was just me.
I was totally a part of that generation : D And well, I'd say it served it's purpose for this thing.
