Unfortunately Mandel Machine does not start on Kubuntu/Linux. I like this kind of fractals. Do not know if it is possible with Kalles Fraktaler (great software, too).

thanks! I got Mandel Machine to start on debian once by running the exe with wine. This requires to install java runtime environment under wine as well. It was very unstable, which made it useless, but I could get it to render things with roughly the same efficiency as on windows. It's so close to working well...
This location is not extremely deep for today's standards. I bet you can easily render it with kalles fraktaler too.
