*edit: touched up some areas, changed the guys, added the giant crack, and red line of death o_O dont cross it!!!saw so many cool artists submitting i thought i would give it a try. been busy with freelance painting all week so felt good to take a day off and paint for fun. not planning on winning so no need to wish me luck, but i am interested in hearing peoples feedback on the image, so feel free to comment (=

Wonder how he will cut them down while holding a book . . . No matter how you look at it, it looks like it will be pretty hard to use that scythe while holding a book, unless he has a way of blocking the warriors' attacks with only one arm holding the scythe.

Reminds me a cross between a Seraph in HOMAM 6 and a wight/wraith... of sorts from HOMAM 5... Or a converted Celestial

Grim Reaper: Y'know the worst thing about my job? These little pissants who think they can pull a Dante and kill me. It's not that I mind the fighting. I mean, I get a bonus in my paycheck for that. No, it's just the fact that I either lose my place in my book, or I get blood on the pages, and then the Librarians get mad at me. They're all like, "As if it's not bad enough that you walk around with a freakin' scythe, but then you ruin the books for everyone else, blah blah blah...". Jeez. I am really tired of getting bitched out. *puts bookmark in page, hefts scythe* Well, guess I'll just have to see if Bella gets turned later. TIme to earn that bonus.

This is fantastic work! I like the little halo reference around the Angel of Death's head.

I like how you portrayed him, in giant size, with four wings, clasping a scythe in one hand, and a book in the other. His clothes are awesome with the color, and the skulls, and the hourglass on them. Then his image is complete, with the fiery orange halo over his head, and a casm in the earth opening up before him. I absalutly love this!
