Here's my latest awesome commission from Riiefu AKA 𝙇𝙖𝙨𝙩 𝙒𝙤𝙡𝙛 over on Instagram and they just keep getting better and better. I cannot recommend commissioning them enough.

It's my OC Kokoro. She's a lady knight I created for the video game franchise by Capcom consisting of Ghosts N' Goblins, Ghouls N' Ghosts, and the Maximo series in a special outfit TerrorToxico1 designed for her. They gave no explanation for Kokoro's new clothes initially, so I came up with one. While running around in a barrel, Kokoro saved the lives of some explorers and it turned out one of them is a high-ranking official from a nearby kingdom. After she got back to Steed, she found out that she had lost her last suit of armor to the barrel of poverty and her only spare clothes were undergarments. Fortunately for her the people she saved decided to invite her to their kingdom as a guest of honor. They gave her these new clothes and asked her to help them so Kokoro went on a few adventures while she was there. In this scene she is sitting in a cave or catacomb with a lich telling her stories of the legendary heroes that are buried here. But later the artist told me the story behind this.

There are places that are horrible, however, that does not mean that the inhabitants can not be nice. For example, there is these catacombs which have as lord a wise lich who made this place his home. As his name indicates, he was a lich, but the wisdom that the centuries bring allowed him to recognize that without good there can be no evil, which made him empathize a lot with the heroes who cross these catacombs in order to continue their journey. These catacombs are full of the most nefarious rottenness of the abyss, it is a place where without proper protection, any hero regardless of their will could easily become corrupted. If this lich were to make use of all the abyssal magic that resides here, he could most likely conquer all the cities surrounding the catacombs in the surface, instead he prefers to honor and serve as caretaker of the tombs that rest here, giving peace to the heroes buried here and telling their stories to the travelers that pass through these catacombs. Here Kokoro makes an appearance, who is equipped with sacred clothing from the realm of bubbles, these garments would not provide any protection against a sword or an ogre, but it is another story for the undead, a skeleton would rather be fertilizer for trees than even dare to touch this armor. The lich understands Kokoro's journey, Kokoro understands that this lich saw beyond simple meaningless bloodshed, so he prefers to be a good host and Kokoro chooses to be a good guest. The lich tells stories of heroism and villainy, of bravery and horror of those who were once in the surface and are now buried here. Kokoro listens in amazement through the protective bubble.
