I start the show with secret of my excess (bring back Godzilla spike plz), that was season 2 ever sins I wanted to know spike back story and wanted to see where his story would go, where in season 7 and I still don't know his back story and his episodes where getting better but where back to bad again, I kinda lost hope that it will get better, I don't dislike the show but It feels like it never really go`s the direction I hoop it will go and I somewhat done hoping, this episode was more a wake up call that I really must not like the show mostly for one character that the show wont do much with.
so it`s more that this episode was the final strike than that it was this last episode alone that was ad fault (it was still very bad)

I don't know your issues with both Spike and his direction in the show that well, but I have to disagree. I think in due time we could actually get more backstory from him and jhis upbringing with Twilight. Hell, maybe we can even get some information from where he came from possibly. I say possibly because in Dragon Quest Twilight made it clear that she doesn't know who found him or where he came from specifically, but who knows, there might still be some hidden information out there. I'd say it's very ridiculous to just abandon the show just like that only for one character, but you do whatever you want.

On a side note, I thought Triple Threat was a decent episode. Definitely far from bad, but not particularly great either.
