History
--------------
Elewa was born to a rather large family in a rather large pride where the re-use of names was inevitable. There must have been three Hodaris and two Aishiwas. Everybody was fairly close, and cubs were raised by everybody in the pride. It may have been that baby-sitters were outnumbered by the cubs, and few of them (the cubs) were saints. Elewa experienced the very worst of them when she was old enough to babysit, when some of them crawled into a rock crevice out of her reach. Elewa loved going on hunts after she was ready to start training, but she was easily shoulder-checked out of the way by older, heftier lions. Game was plentiful in season, her favorites being wildebeest and gemsbok. There was a time when their hunting party took on a water buffalo, but one of her friends was gored by its sharp horns and flung into the air. Since then, she stayed at the edge of hunting parties when going after larger game. With so many lions already and new litters arriving, there were more mouths to feed than any hunting party could keep up with. Finding a spot at the feast became difficult, and soon, maybe a little too soon, it was time to move away like the rest of her age group. During her travels Elewa got lost from her companions and found it difficult to hunt alone, and for a lion that didn’t bulk up easily, she grew pretty haggard. It was when she stopped at a watering hole that she saw another lion, and did not hesitate to latch onto them. She may have been a little oblivious to the annoyance of said lion…
