A/N: First time writing for this site. Love some feedback from you all. Huge Pokemon fan, and most of my fics in the future will relate. Starting with one of my favourite characters, set in early adulthood. I always imagined Barry calmed down a bit, but was still super hyper/charismatic/awesome. Sorry for the cheesefest, hehe. Enjoy~

"We're here!" You sighed, exhausted from the car ride, "Thanks so much. Again."
"Yeah. No worries." Barry said a little blankly. Upon seeing your slightly worried expression, he forced a small grin.

The two of you walked over to the stop where the train would be arriving. You had found a nice small house where you would be studying abroad.

"I guess this is it." You said quietly, shoving your hands in your pockets.
"Aw, don't say that, (Y/N). It'll be done before you know it." Barry laughed, though half-heartedly.

"I'm really going to miss you." You started sniffling.
"(Y/N), don't start crying on me!" He hugged you close, with the sad realization that your (#)-year friendship could change drastically.
"You've been my best friend since we were kids!" You squeaked.
"Hey. Time won't change that."

The train approached around the corner as people began picking up their suitcases.
"Barry, I should... tell you something. Before I go." You took a deep breath to gather yourself, "I've always liked you... as a bit more than a friend."

His reaction instantly changed, eyes widening.
"Y-you tell me this now? Before you go?!" He stammered.
"I'm s-sorry, Barry! I just... love you." You burst into tears again, gripping his shirt as he ran a hand through your hair, shocked with the news.
"(Y-Y/N). I--"
"I have to go." You kissed him on the cheek, grabbed your luggage, and ran. It broke your heart, but he just had to know. It wouldn't be right otherwise.

"Wait! (Y/N)!" He called desperately.
He stood frozen for what seemed like forever, and finally decided what to do.
The train was taking in the last passengers as the blond boy sprinted toward the door.
He pulled out two hundreds, placed them in the conductor's hand, and continued speeding onto the train.

"(Y/N)!" He panted.
"Wh-wha-!" You began, but were silenced by his lips on yours.
It took quite a while for you two to separate, and neither of you had realized what just happened.

"B-but you're--"
"(Y/N). I can't stand a day without you. I'm coming with you. I have no clue what I'm going to do now, but it's never going to be as good as you." He blurted out.
"You'd... do this. For me."
"I love you, (Y/N)."

The train began moving and he realized that there was no going back. But with you there, he was absolutely fine with it.
