Description In a densely wooded forest, a male Dakotaraptor uses its toe claws to help it climb up a tree. They do this as to reach higher elevation and cover more ground so that they'll be able to strike on an unsuspecting victim.

Recently, I've read a news post that explained that dromaeosaurs were more solitary than we thought. While I like seeing a pack of Dakotaraptors take down prey, I feel the solitary lifestyle is kinda nice. i also read that their toe claws were also originally used to help climb trees and I can find it believable later dromaeosaurids used their claws the same way their ancestors have done as well. It's as though the larger species live more like leopards while the larger Tyrannosaurs were social and hunted in groups like lions and wolves. How's that for irony?

Maybe. I figured they hunted more like leopards.
