This was another self portrait I took after school today. I would have uploaded it sooner, but I went to see Wicked.Holy moly, it was fantastic! The costumes and lighting were so inspirational. I want to do a shoot with different colored lights soon. One of my favorite visual scenes was when Elphaba was singing 'No Good Deed'. Her sleeves were blowing furiously, smoke was churning, and oh my gosh the lighting. As soon as I gain some colored bulbs I am going to create a scene inspired by the stage effects.

There is something uncannily creepy about this piece.
That, and I like the way the window has a dull glow like a beacon that your silouhette is blotting out, and there's an image of a lighthouse in the shadows; delicious details.

I wish I could say the lighthouse and window lighting were planned, but that will have to remain a coincidence. I am so glad you pick up on details like that and dissect my photos. While I do intend some things, not everything is intentional.

The atmosphere of this shot is fantastic! I love the orderly and clean nature of the room, juxtaposed with your out-of-place presence, scrunching up one of the couch cushions.

And so far only one. It is due on the first, but with this hurricane coming I thought it best to not risk missing the due date because of the power outage. So I finished it up early...ish. My next two are on December 1st. The rest or in January or are rolling admission.

UMBC, MICA, Lycoming, and William and Mary are a couple I am applying to for next fall. The first two are my top picks.
I'm in northern Maryland so the worst part for us will be later this morning and the rest of tomorrow... well, unless the cold front turns the storm into a Northeaster. Than we may be getting snow. P: So far we have only had drizzles though. New Jersey will have it the worst though. The storm is crashing right into them. ):

Do UMBC and MICA have the best programs for your area of study?
I'll pray for you nonetheless. Storms can be as unpredictable as the weather. (I'm aware of the irony).

UMBC has Communications and Photography while MICA is just an art school. Honestly I am smitten with both programs.
And we lucked out here. We were to the west of the eye so we only had minor flooding. The pictures of New Jersey and New York are tremendous though. It's terrible up there.
