Description From darkest to lightest:


-Layer 1: Modern Bolivia

-Layer 2: Territories lost to Chile during the War of the Pacific and to Paraguay during the Chaco War

-Layer 3: Territory of the Acre lost in 1903, rest of the Chaco Boreal (claimed during the Chaco War) and territories ceded to Chile prior to the War of the Pacific.

-Layer 4: All territories ever held by Bolivia.

-Layer 5: Territories of the former Peru-Bolivia Confederation.

-Layer 6: Viceroyalty of Río de la Plata. When Argentina first declared independence it did as the United Provinces of South America which theoretically included Bolivia.

-Layer 7: Bolivia is named after Simón Bolívar. Let's give them all lands he ever held. And also Chile cos' why not.

-Layer 8: Tordesillas Treaty borders.

It is any political or popular movement that seeks to claim/reclaim and occupy a land that the movement's members consider to be a "lost" (or "unredeemed") territory from their nation's past.

Movements that demands return of historical territories of the state, or unification of few states populated with one ethnic group or nation
But on your map 'irredentism' is obviously just expansionism
