Mire Squid are giant cephalopods that have adapted to freshwater and use its jaws in a rotating matter creating a whirlpool as well as camouflage, and if caught by aquatic predators like the Swamp Mosasaur and crocodiles, it release a boiling ink. However it doesn't deter Kong, as his species are known to devour Mire Squid.Related content

And I can still say, Kong started the fight when he saw the squid

I'll bet it was waiting for prey like him too. Β Before Kong arrived, we saw one of its tentacles pop out.

Yeah, and of course in Beneath Skull Island, a similar scene plays out, only swap the soldier with Hypsilophodon and Psittacosaurus, just relaxing by the riverside having a drink, Kong is in the water tending his wounds and then you know what happens from there

Kong punches squid, provokes squid, they fight scaring small plant eaters, and Kong wins, has some kalamari and leaves with his prize. Then the small plant eaters return to drink, but a bit more cautious.
