Norway just wanted to help Iceland out with his financial and it would be better with an union; it would make it all more easier.
To not mention the other nations would go;

Norway and Iceland have been united before; it could work.
But Iceland does not want an union so therefore he must struggle... even if it means taking AID kits from Norway, Denmark and Russia.
Even his leaders tricking his people to believe the EU would help; which it would not.
And it was barely over 50% that voted yes to get the membership. And before the financial crisis most Icelandics said no to the EU.
Eu just wants to own countries; control them.
