Personally I don't think there needs to be a "straight pride" stamp because straight people aren't oppressed. This artist does have one, though.

No. I don't think that at all. Heterosexuals have been recognized since the dawn of time. Gay people, for the exception of ancient Greece and Rome, have had to either pretend to be straight or be cast out for their attractions, or worse, be killed. One of Hitler's target groups in the Holocaust was homosexuals. Yes, straight people died, but not for being straight. Gay people died for being gay. Just because you aren't the center of attention doesn't mean you're oppressed. You've never had to fight to marry an opposite sex partner just because of the gender of your spouse. You've never been handed the death penalty just for loving someone of the opposite gender. In the words of a wonderful stamp I saw on this site, "You're not being oppressed when another group gains rights you've always had." In now way am I saying I don't support heterosexuals because that would just be as silly as not supporting homosexuals. But straight pride is a joke.

We don't make villains out of straight people. We make villains out of homophobic people who ridicule us because, well, they are villainous to us. And most of them happen to be straight (but sometimes they're LGBT, isn't that strange how they don't support the rights of their own community?)
Marriage equality may be legal here, but in eight countries, gay people still get the death penalty just for being gay. Not to mention the less severe but still anti-gay laws in several other countries. That's why we still need the movement- the battle may be won here, but what about in other places?

You don't have to LOVE the LGBT community, and I get where you're saying we're a bit over the top sometimes. But it's mostly the over the top ones that you see; most of us are quite normal.
