It appears to me that the more time i spend on a pic, the more i hate it....This one is my nemesis.

Ah, I know what you mean..I do that a lot..more than a lot, actually, and end up not liking a lot of things of my own. Probably if you go back after awhile you'll like it..I mean, this is really amazing. I love your watercolory-painted look to it, and especially the character's design and expression. x3 I think you did awesome on this. The hydra is so menacing! It's cool!

i agree...when i spend too much time on the pic i'm never happy with the end result...but good lord!!! when you spend too much time on a pic? it turned out beautifully! (from my perspective) the coloring is really gorgeous!

ha this is nice. I like the subtle coloring. not sure why you're so self critical over this one. sometimes a break from peices and coming back to them with fresh eyes can help.
but I enjoy it. colorchoices and coloring style blends very well and is easy on the eye. which is great.
you use photoshop aye?
either way I personally think this is the best one in your gallery. as the color choices are appealing and it has a more finished feeling than most other work you have online here. the composition could probably be pushes more but I enjoy it as it is.
and this really isn't the type of work I usually enjoy but you do it well

I'm so impressed with your coloring here, it's actually quite hard for me to express. The monster in this picture looks like something out of an old cartoon. I can understand the feeling of a picture that you've worked hard on not reaching your standards, but if it makes you feel any better, as an outsider, I have nothing but praise.
