Description The water horse also known as Backhast  in Sweden, Cabbylushtey in Manx, Cleffy Dwr in Welsh, Kelpie in Scotland, Lutin in French, Nicker in english and germanic, Nuggle, Njogel, Shoopiltee and Tangie in Shetland. It is an animal thought of as a malevolent spirit animal probably because of its ability to disappear. although it is thought of as a spirit it is in fact a physical animal similar in texture as a jellyfish though its structure allows it to take in and let out water to create a form that is able to walk on land and helps with faster movement against the current. It eats plants herbs roots and corn. why it is horse shaped is said to be because of an old tale that upon a horse drinking at the home of the water horse the water horse copied its form (this could either by taking its dna like a sting from a jellyfish other people speculate it just did it by image or that the original horse was completely devoured to get the complete physiology of the horse.) the water horse does need to stay close to water to keep up its form. as before mentioned it can be found in many places in the world but most recently they seem to be in colder areas away from water pollutants and may have something to do with the ice caps melting. they can get to a couple of tonnes in weight although getting the exact weight is difficult as of its abilities to take on differing amounts of water.for any other information like cell structure i could put up another picture. or pictures of other fantastical animals

This is very interesting, the horse has a metallic look in my opinion.

never too late thank you for the suggestion i think your right if i used like a navy on the background and used it through the horse aswell it would make it more see through im never brilliant with colour but i will give it a shot

It's not a bad thing, I wasn't saying it as a negative.

But if you want it looking more like water, empathise the horse's liquid qualities.

Water is a fluid, so giving the horse a less solid look might help.

Maybe part of the horse could be like a flowing mass of water, with the front half a horse.

kool thank you for the suggestions probably give this another shot in the future dont worry it wasnt taken as a negative it was just something i know can happen when drawing water that it looks metallic. i was thinking i might put a background to show through it but it would take a lot more concentration as to what is reflected and refracted maybe a few more bubbles in it too your right i could extend the horses main and give more dripping off of it thank you

Fantastic  shading in this dio. It definitely gives the appearance of the horse being made out of water. Great description also !!!!!!

i shaded the background so i could use some of the shade in the horse and give good contrast with the highlights  and i used a burnishing pencil hope this helps
