Mark looks very cute in the night setting, his colors fit it well.
The background is very well done, as is the shading.

This is adorable!! And don't listen to Roqi about the lighting thing; While it is one of my weaknesses as well, I don't see what the fuss is about. It looks fine to me and I can see where you lilluminated him from the light of the fireflies. Besides its a NIGHT picture, so lighting is supposed to be very soft anyway

The light source is all over the place, I must say. That's your biggest weakness isn't it. xD It doesn't much look like he's illuminated by moonlight, more like he's in the headlamps of an incoming car.
Which would hit him, making the driver stop, get out of the car and stare sadly at the corpse... at which point Mark would get up and shake himself off, giving the driver the scare of his life.

It's true x3; Light source is my biggest weakness when it comes to nighttime pics, but in this one the light source isn't coming from the moon, its supposed to be coming from the firefly he caught.

I thought so, too, but then I went to a barbecue with my friend just outside the city and there they were :'D
If the firefly was the only light source, we'd only be able to see the front of his face and his paws, highlighted with greenish light, no? There is another light source, and it's either the stars or the moon. Stars don't give that much light so the moon must be around. And he doesn't look like he's in the moonlight either. It is not contrasting enough, the shading is not dark enough I think.

I live in a small town in the middle of wine country, so I'd think I'd see them if we had them xD
