Seems that the Princesses have accepted Sonic as a friend to them and he is invited into the Princess Sleepover. He was fortune enough to have a seat next to Mulan as he tells the Princesses about how Vanellope told him about her first encounter with them and his home planet where he lives, all of his friends, and his fights with Dr. Robotnik.

Sonic: Nice threads, girls. Where'd you get 'em?
Cinderella: They're a gift from Vanellope.
Vanellope: I don't wanna go into all the details, but back when I first met these ladies, it turned out that they didn't know ANYTHING about casual wear. For as long as they were here, all they had to wear were those fancy ballgowns and dresses. And as you know, I'm not really a fan of that kind of getup. So when I showed up wearing (gestures to her clothes) this, they were very intrigued, and soon decided that they wanted outfits just like it!
Ariel: (Gesturing to her comfy clothes) And when we first put these things on, we found them to be far more comfortable than anything we'd ever worn before!
Anna: While we don't really mind the gowns they make us wear because we're so used to them, we really do prefer these comfy clothes over those.
Sonic: I can tell. It's also why I don't typically wear a lot of clothes beyond these gloves and shoes. They'd just weigh me down and increase the drag on my body, and so I wouldn't be able to run as fast as I do.

Ariel: So tell us, Sonic, what's your story?
Sonic: Well, it started some 20 odd years ago on a place called South Island. Back then, it was a peaceful place. At least, it was until Dr. Eggman arrived.
Rapunzel: And who is this... Doctor Eggman?
Sonic: Mad scientist with a penchant for building killer robots. His real name is Doctor Ivo Robotnik, but I call him Eggman because he looks like a giant talking egg.
The Princesses giggle.
Sonic: Yeah, I thought it was funny too. Anyway, Eggman came to South Island so he could build his empire, his "Eggmanland", on it with an army of robots which he stuffed little animals into.
Snow White: Why did he want to put the animals into the robots?
Sonic: To power them. He saw how much energy the little guys had, and so he decided to use them as batteries for the robots.
Cinderella: That's awful!
Sonic: Yeah, that's what I thought when I found out. So when Eggman started attacking, I jumped into action and beat back his robot army. I traveled across every inch of South Island until I reached his base, which I also destroyed. And while I was traveling, I found my way into this place called the Special Zone, where I got these gems called the Chaos Emeralds, and I used their power to topple Eggman's plans for South Island.
Elsa: Well, we're glad you were able to stop him then. People like Eggman don't deserve to see their plans come to fruition, especially if they involve conquest and destruction.
Sonic: That's true. But even after that first defeat, Eggman never really gave up. He kept trying again and again to build Eggmanland. But I kept going. I even made a few friends during my adventures, like Tails!
Anna: Tails?
Sonic: His real name's Miles Prower, but I call him Tails because he's got two tails instead of one.
Jasmine: Two?
Sonic: Rare genetic condition. Caused him to be born with them. And he was bullied a lot because of 'em.
Elsa: I know how it feels to be shunned for being different, and it's not fun. Thankfully, Anna was there to see me through and help me embrace this power I've been given.
Belle: I can relate too. Back in the village, everyone thought I was weird because I preferred to read books rather than do anything else.
Sonic: The same goes for us. From me, Tails learned that to show the world that there's more to him than his tails. And he's pretty smart. He's even done a lot of things without my help. He even fought Eggman himself on multiple occasions and won! And with his tails he can fly like a helicopter and help my to get to hard to reach places!
Anna: Well, it certainly sounds like you've found yourself a real friend. He's loyal, he's brave, and he's respectful!
Sonic: And he's not the only friend I've made. There's so many more I could go on about.
Moana: Like who?

Sonic: But Sally isn't the only girl I've known in my life. There's also Amy Rose.
Snow White: Ooh, is she a Princess too?
Sonic: No, but she's a big fan of me. And I mean BIG. She's followed me ever since I fought Eggman back on the Little Planet and rescued her from Metal Sonic.
Belle: Little Planet?
Moana: Metal Sonic?
Sonic: A tiny floating planet that appears above the Never Lake in one month out of every year. And every time it appears, it's never during the same month as the year before. As for Metal Sonic, well, he's a robotic copy of me that Eggman built to destroy me. But unfortunately, that cheap knockoff is nowhere near as good as the original.
Ariel: And what about Amy? Well, she's into using tarot cards, and one such card predicted that she'd find her true love in me. And ever since then, she's had eyes for me. And every time she finds me, she chases me like crazy!
Belle: I know it feels to have unwanted attention. Back in my village, the local hunter Gaston came onto me many times, and he didn't know when to stop. Ultimately, his drive to claim me proved to be the end of him when he fell off the roof of the Enchanted Castle.
Sonic: Well, unlike your Gaston, I really don't know how I feel about Amy. Part of me does enjoy the attention I get from her and is making me want to go with her, but I'm actually kinda already seeing Sally. I wish there was some way for me to tell her that I like Sally without breaking her heart and costing me her friendship. See, Amy's not really a bad person. Sure, she gets obsessive, but she's still nice about it. And she's good friends with all my other allies, including Sally.

Sonic: You know, I've also made almost as many rivals as friends. Like Knuckles.
Aurora: Who's Knuckles?
Sonic: This Echidna who lives on a flying island called Angel Island. Spends his days there alone guarding the Master Emerald.
Ariel: Master Emerald?
Sonic: Giant emerald that shares many properties with the Chaos Emeralds, even giving off the same energy as them.
Anna: And why does he guard it?
Sonic: Mainly due to tradition. See, Knuckles is a descendant of this ancient tribe of Echidnas who lived on Angel Island, and for some reason, he was left as the last surviving member of that tribe. And since he's been there alone without any contact with the outside world, he and I kinda got off on the wrong foot.
Mulan: You mean that...?
Sonic: Yeah, we kinda fought the first time we met. Dr. Eggman was the first person from the outside world that Knuckles met, and he wholeheartedly believed Eggman when he told him that I was the bad guy. So he did everything he could to slow me and Tails down, including stealing all the Chaos Emeralds and hiding them, and even setting off various traps.
Cinderella: And how was it that he came to side with you?
Sonic: Knuckles started helping me after Eggman betrayed him and stole the Master Emerald to power his Death Egg.
Elsa: Death Egg?
Sonic: Armored space station. Crashed on Angel Island my second run-in with Eggman.
Ariel: Sounds like another space station that we've heard about. What was it called again? The Death Star?
Sonic: Yeah, it looks a lot like that, only with Eggman's face on the upper hemisphere. Personally, I like to think that Eggman was partially inspired by the Galactic Empire's own designs. Anyway, since Eggman's betrayal, Knuckles and I have been good friends, even though we do butt heads every now and then.
Moana: You know, you can't really blame him for believing Eggman's lies. After all, he was the first person that Knuckles met who wasn't from the island. I mean, if Eggman came to my tribe's island of Motunui back before we returned to voyaging, we probably would've done the same thing as Knuckles.
Sonic: And typically, I don't blame him. He's not exactly the sharpest tool in the shed, but he's a good guy, and will do anything to help me and Tails. And that's more than I can say for Shadow.
Elsa: And who is this... Shadow?

Sonic: And you know, while Eggman is my arch-nemesis, I've also had many other notable enemies. Like Chaos.
Ariel: Chaos?
Sonic: The water god I tamed. Guarded these little creatures called the Chao until when Chief Pachacamac, the leader of Knuckles' tribe attacked and hurt them. He went on a rampage until Tikal, Pachacamac's daughter, had him sealed away inside the Master Emerald until Eggman released him.
Moana: Another one of his attempts to build Eggmanland?
Sonic: Yeah, pretty much. But Chaos proved too strong for Eggman to control. He destroyed the city like Eggman wanted, but he showed no intention of stopping. His anger was so great that
Elsa: This Chaos sounds a lot like the Spirits of the Enchanted Forest. They used to be hostile towards me and Anna, but we were able to calm them so that free the forest and save Arendelle. There were four of them, each representing one of the four elements: Fire, Earth, Water, and Air. And as the Northuldra, the people who lived in the Forest, told us of a fifth spirit that served as a bridge between humankind and the magic of nature.
Sonic: And where was this fifth spirit?
Elsa: (Standing up, undoing her braid and letting her hair flow loose) Well, let's just say... (Closes her eyes as her ice magic swirls around her. As Sonic watches, Elsa's outfit morphs from her casual wear to a flowing white dress with a two-piece cape that looks like a pair of wings).
You're looking at her.
Sonic: (Whistles) Cool!

Sonic: Say, I heard you girls like to talk to animals, right?
Jasmine: (Snuggling with Rajah) Oh yes, we love our animal friends. And from what we heard, you like to help animals too.
Sonic: You got that right. But it's not just normal animals that I've helped during my adventures. I've also helped those from other worlds, like the Wisps.
Merida: The wisps?
Sonic: They're these colorful aliens who live on a distant planet and have power over "Hyper-Go-On".
Ariel: What's "Hyper-Go-On?"
Sonic: It's a type of energy that the Wisps can harness. It gives them a variety of abilities and powers that they can share with others like myself.
Elsa: And what kind of powers did they give you?

Moana: Well, the island that was Te Fiti crumbled away, and Te Fiti herself became the demonic Te Ka, a creature of Earth and fire who fought Maui to reclaim the heart. Also, monsters started to run rampant across the sea, and it got so bad that my people stopped voyaging altogether, hiding their boats away in a cave. The Heart itself and Maui's magic fish hook were lost to the Ocean until it found someone worthy to carry it and restore Te Fiti - Me.
Sonic: And did you do it?
Moana: I did - with a little help from Maui, of course. While he wasn't perfect, he made for a great mentor, and he showed me how to wayfind like my ancestors. And I helped him find his lost fish hook in the Realm of Monsters. After restoring Te Fiti, I then returned to my people and taught them how to wayfind. Before long, we were out on the sea again, and things couldn't be any better for us now than ever.
Sonic: Well, glad to hear that. You definitely proved yourself worthy as a hero to both Te Fiti and to your people.
Moana: Thanks, Sonic.
Sonic: Anytime. And you know, this thing with Te Ka and Te Fiti reminds me of my adventure with Light and Dark Gaia.
Anna: Really? What happened?
Sonic: Well, during another one of my fights with Eggman, he was able to trap me, as Super Sonic, and use mine and the Chaos Emeralds power to crack the Earth open like an eggshell with a powerful laser cannon.
Ariel: And why would he do that?
Sonic: It was another one of his attempts to build Eggmanland, and this time, he actually went ahead and built it!
Pocahontas: And what happened to you when he split the Earth open?
Sonic: The use of the cannon not only drained the Chaos Emeralds of their power, but also turned me into a hideous beast that only appeared at night. A "Werehog", if you will.

Sonic: During my adventure, however, I had to make use of the transformation and the abilities it gave me to fight off both Dark Gaia's minions and Eggman's robots.
Anna: Abilities?
Sonic: As a werehog, I couldn't run as fast as I could as in my normal form, but I was stronger. With my claws, I could rip apart any enemy. And I could also stretch my arms so I could climb buildings and access hard-to-reach areas.
Tiana: And how did you stop Dark Gaia?
Sonic: I had to travel around the world to find seven temples of Gaia, where I then restored the Chaos Emeralds' power. And when each Emerald's power was restored, a piece of the Earth was then restored to its proper place. I also had the help of Dark Gaia's benevolent counterpart, Light Gaia, better known as Chip.
Belle: Chip?
Sonic: A tiny flying dog-like creature who was a great help to me during my adventure. However, when he awoke, he didn't have any memories or knowledge of his true nature because both he and Dark Gaia had been awakened prematurely by Eggman. Fortunately, when the time came for us to face Dark Gaia, he was able to remember everything about himself and used the power of the Chaos Emeralds to assemble a golem made up of all seven temples of Gaia, which he then used to fight his dark counterpart with me providing support as Super Sonic.
Moana: So did you beat him?
Sonic: We did. But while we were able to restore the Earth, Chip had to stay in the Earth's core to keep watch over the dormant Dark Gaia. And while I haven't seen him since, I know that someday, he and Dark Gaia will return to resume their conflict. See, the two of them are meant to maintain an eternal cycle of destruction and rebirth on the planet. While I might not see Chip awake again in this lifetime, I won't forget the time I spent traveling with him.
Anna: It's important to remember the good times you spent with him. While Chip may be gone, the memories should be cherished as they can keep you strong. And it's like they say, "No one's ever really gone."

Sonic: So, who wants to go first?
Snow White: I'll go first. I was, after all, the first Princess.
Sonic: Okay, spill it.
Snow White: A long time ago, I used to live in this grand castle with my stepmother, the Evil Queen. Now she was very vain, and she feared that my beauty might grow to surpass me one day. So she forced me to wear rags and made me work as a maid while she consulted her magic mirror, asking, "Mirror, Mirror, on the wall, who is the fairest one of all?" And the mirror would typically reply, "You are the fairest one of all." For many days, this went on until one day, the Mirror gave a different answer.
Sonic: And what answer was that?

Snow White: Oh, she did have a plan. Her first attempt to reclaim her former title was to have her huntsman kill me and then bring my heart back to her.
Sonic: (Wincing) Okay, I can understand the murder part, but why would she want you to carve out your heart and bring it back to her?
Snow White: She wanted proof to ensure that he killed me.
Sonic: And let me guess: her plan didn't work?
Snow White: No, it did not. The Huntsman couldn't bring himself to kill me, and so he told he to run into the woods, and so I did.
Sonic: And he lied to the Queen?
Snow White: He did. He even went so far as to carve out an animal's heart and put it in the chest the Queen gave him.
Sonic: And what happened to you?
Snow White: After I ran into the forest, I found myself in the midst of many animals, who led me to the Dwarfs' Cottage. When I got there, though, no one was home, and the place was a mess.
Sonic: And let me guess: You decided to do some housecleaning?
Snow White: Right, the animals and I worked together to clean the house for the dwarfs, who I met that night, when they arrived to find me asleep in their beds.
Sonic: And who are the Dwarfs?
Snow White: Seven stout men who spend their days working in their diamond mine. Their names are Doc, Happy, Sleepy, Bashful, Sneezy, Grumpy, and Dopey. And they're real friendly people when you get to know them. Grumpy, though is a bit, well... Grumpy, so he was a bit harder to get through to than the other six.

Snow White: I know how you feel. But that's what villains do: They stoop low just to get what they want.
Sonic: It's also kinda ironic, really. This Queen wanted to be the most beautiful, and yet she relinquished her own beauty just to destroy you.
Snow White: I guess so. Anyway, when the Dwarfs found her fleeing the cottage, they gave chase. She ran until she hit a cliff, at which point she tried to crush them all with a boulder. But lightning struck the cliff and caused her to fall, with the boulder crushing her when she fell!
Sonic: (Wincing): Ooh, that sounds like a nasty way to go.
Snow White: And it was. Anyways, after the Dwarfs went back for me, they had me placed in a casket of gold and glass so that my beauty would be seen by all. And before long, my prince heard the story about the girl in the glass casket, and soon went off to find me.
Sonic: And did he?
Snow White: He did. And when he did, he broke the curse on me with True Love's Kiss, which turned out to be the antidote to the Poison. I awoke, and after bidding the dwarfs farewell, I rode off with my prince to his castle, and things have been good ever since.
Sonic: Well, I'm glad you were able come away from that experience and still be alright. You know, others would probably regard that as a trauma that would haunt them for a while.
Snow White: Well, to be honest, it did haunt me for while. But I've been able to work through it with the help of all the other Princesses here. And as they'll tell you, they've experienced many similar hardships.
Sonic: So I've heard. (To the other Princesses) So, who wants to go next?

Sonic: So we've heard. (To Cinderella) People can be cruel, but it's up to you not to let them get you down. Power on through and never give up on yourself.
Cinderella: That's what I did. As I grew up, I never gave up on myself. Also, I wasn't alone when I was growing up.
Sonic: You mean you had some friends?
Cinderella: Yes, I was friends with all the animals who lived on the chateau while i was growing up, including the birds and mice, my horse, and even my dog. The only animal I wasn't friends with was my stepmother's cat Lucifer, who was always trying to eat the mice.
Sonic: Well, it's still glad to know you had friends. Having friends is always a good thing, since they can look out for you and help you to grow stronger.
Cinderella: It's true, they did help me grow in my time at the chateau, especially when I worked as a maid there. But the most help they gave to me was on the day that my life was changed forever.
Sonic: And what day was that?

Sonic: See, the reason I get angry like that is, well, I don't like bullies. I don't like it when folks try to get all high and mighty and push others around like that. And your stepsisters, C, well, they sound pretty bad.
Cinderella: I know they are, but taking your anger out on bullies is not the way to truly overcome them. It only makes things worse, and will make you even worse than the bullies.
Sonic: Yeah, you're right. Anyways, please continue.
Cinderella: Alright. Well, after my stepsisters destroyed my dress I ran out to the garden in tears, where I met my Fairy Godmother. When she found me, she was able to fix things for me.
Sonic: What did she do?
Cinderella: She used her magic wand to turn a pumpkin into a carriage, several of my animals into horses, a driver, and a doorman, and even changed my damaged dress into that shimmering blue one I was wearing back when you arrived.
Sonic: (Whistles) Sounds like that wand is powerful.
Cinderella: Oh, you have no idea how strong its magic is. In fact, what she did was only the scratching the surface of the power it carries. But we're getting off-topic. Anyway, I was able to attend the ball. But I could only go on one condition.
Sonic: And that was?
Cinderella: The magic would only last till midnight, all the magic would wear off and my animal friends would return their normal selves. Anyways, I made my way to the castle with no difficulty, and it was there that I met my Prince. When he was there, he took an immediately liking to me and we danced the night away. (sighs) It was beautiful... but then midnight came.
Sonic: And let me guess: You had to run?
Cinderella: Yes, I ran. And as I did, I left one of my glass slippers behind, but I couldn't stop to go back for it, as everyone would see me for who I truly was.
Sonic: And did you make it back in time?
Cinderella: I did. And because I left so quickly, no one, my stepmother and stepsisters included, knew it was me. At least, not at first. The next day, my stepmother figured out it was me she decided to lock me in my room. See, the Duke was at my chateau looking for the mystery girl who fit the glass slipper, and my stepmother didn't want him to find out that it was me. Fortunately, my animal friends were able to get the key from her and unlock the door. But my stepmother wasn't done yet. To keep me from revealing myself as the one the Prince was looking for, she tripped the Duke's footman, causing him to drop the slipper and make it shatter on the floor.
Sonic: But you still had the other one, didn't you?
Cinderella: Yes, I did. And afterwards, my Prince and I were married.
Sonic: And you lived happily ever after?
Cinderella: We did, at least for a year.
Sonic: What happened?

Sonic: So what happened?
Cinderella: My stepmother used the wand to make my slipper fit Anastasia so that the Duke believed she was the Prince's mystery girl and shattered my other glass slipper to make sure I couldn't derail her plans. At that point, I knew I would have to fight for my Happily Ever After, and so I did.
Sonic: What'd you do?
Cinderella: I snuck into the castle in disguise, and eventually made contact with the Prince, and tried to convince him that his mystery girl was me, but it didn't work. My animal friends had better luck, as they were able to repair my glass slipper so he could fit it on me, which then confirmed to him that it was me he loved. Afterwards, we started preparing for our wedding - again! (sigh) But my stepmother still didn't give up.
Sonic: When has she not? So what did she do next?
Cinderella: She used the wand to turn Anastasia into a copy of me so she could marry the Prince in my place while she tried to destroy me by trapping me in a dark version of my pumpkin carriage and send it over a cliff.
Sonic: Whoa, that's dark.
Cinderella: And how! Luckily, I was able to escape so I could then crash the wedding, once again interfering with my stepmother's plans. Also, at that point, Anastasia was having second thoughts about going through with the plan, as she wanted someone to love her for herself rather than because she was pretending to be someone else. At that point, my stepmother decided to openly make use of the wand to try and destroy me and Anastasia, but the Prince was able to use his sword to reflect the magic blast back at them, which then turned my stepmother and Drizella into toads!
Sonic: (Chuckles) Sounds like a fitting form for them. After all, it brought out the ugliness in their hearts.
Cinderella: (Giggles) Guess you're right about that. Anyway, after Anastasia used the wand to restore herself to her true form, I used it to restore the Fairy Godmother. And she then used it on me to create a stunning new wedding gown. My Prince and I were then married again that day, and things have been much better for us and Anastasia ever since.
Sonic: Wait, back up. You said that your stepmom erased you and your Prince's memories from the year after you were first married. If that's so, then how do you remember those things now?
Cinderella: My Fairy Godmother had mine and his memories restored after everything. She even offered to undo the damage done by Lady Tremaine, but we refused.
Sonic: And with good reason. In your first story, your animal friends basically did everything for you, and you had your happy ending handed to you on a silver platter.
Cinderella: Yeah, that was a major complaint about my first movie. But after everything that happened to me in my third movie, well, I feel like I actually earned my Happily Ever After, as I proved myself able to fight for it. Sure, my animal friends still had a part to play in it, but I was much more involved in the story.
Sonic: Well, it's a good thing you were able to stand up for your dreams like that. (To the other Princesses) Alright, who's next?
Aurora: That would be me. I'm the third Princess after Cinderella, as my movie was released nine years after hers.
Sonic: Alright, so what's your story, Aurora?

Aurora: I lived with the fairies in the forest for the next sixteen years of my life, unaware of my royal lineage and my real name, as the Fairies kept them as a secret from me.
Sonic: And what did the fairies call you while you were growing up?
Aurora: They called me Briar Rose, and they raised me as if I was their own. Unlike Cinderella's stepmother, they were kind and benevolent parental figures in my life. But it was on the day of my sixteenth birthday that things changed.
Sonic: How so?
Aurora: Well, while they were preparing for my celebration and return to their castle, they sent me out into the forest to collect berries, which I did with the help of my own animal friends. It was also out there that I met this friendly young man who I fell in love with because he was so kind to me. Now, I didn't know it then, but this young man was actually my betrothed, Prince Phillip.
Sonic: Betrothed? You don't mean...
Aurora: I do! See, when I was a baby, my parents and Philip's father Hubert intended for him and me to marry when we were older so that their kingdoms would be united as one. So while I was making my way through the forest, so too was he.
Sonic: And did he know you were the same child when he met you in the forest?
Aurora: No, he did not! And because I didn't know that he was my betrothed, I was quite heartbroken when the fairies told me about my true destiny.
Sonic: (Whistles) Talk about a coincidence. You meet a nice guy, and as it turns out, he already met you a long time ago!
Aurora: Indeed! Anyway, after the truth had been revealed, the Fairies took me back to the castle to prepare to meet my betrothed and settle things once and for all. Unbeknownst to my parents, however, Maleficent was there to enact her evil plan.
Sonic: Wait, back up, if you were in the Forest this whole time, how did she find you?
Aurora: She had been looking for me the whole sixteen years the fairies had been hiding. Unfortunately, her minions weren't that smart and were looking for a baby, not realizing I was growing up during those sixteen years.
Sonic: (Facepalms) Leave it to villains to choose the DUMBEST ones to handle the most important jobs. But hey, I've seen Eggman build robots as dumb as that!
Aurora: Yes, they were pretty stupid. Anyway, when her other minions failed, Maleficent sent out Diablo to look for me, and he succeeded.
Sonic: So what happened when they found you?

Aurora: Yes, a dragon. And a dangerous one at that. Fortunately, the Fairies had armed Phillip with the Sword of Truth and the Shield of Virtue, which he used to fight her.
Sonic: Did he win?
Aurora: He did. With the fairies' help, he threw the Sword so that it flew right into Maleficent's heart, killing her.
Sonic: So what happened after that?
Aurora: After having slain Maleficent, Phillip followed the fairies through the castle to the tower where I was waiting, and he broke the spell on me.
Sonic: I can only imagine your surprise when you found out who he really was.
Aurora: Oh, you have no idea. I was very much surprised to find that he and the boy in the forest were the same, just as he was surprised to know that I was that same girl! Anyway, after the spell on me was broken, so too was the spell placed upon the entire castle, and after sixteen long years, I was finally reunited with my family. Not long after the celebration of my return, Phillip and I were married, and things have been much better now that Maleficent was destroyed.
Sonic: Glad to hear that. And you know, while I've fought a lot of enemies, I've never seen one so petty that they'd get worked up over not being invited to someone's birthday party. I mean, seriously? That's why Maleficent was so angry with your parents?
Aurora: (Giggles) That coming from a hedgehog who fights an evil man who wants to build a theme park. Still, you're right it was very petty of her to do what she did. Still, you could say she reaped what she had sowed when Phillip ran the Sword of Truth through her heart.
Sonic: Noted. (To the other Princesses) Okay, who's next?

Ariel: Well, I look forward to the day when you learn to swim, Sonic. Maybe then you'll be able to visit Atlantica and meet my sisters.
Sonic: You have sisters?
Ariel: Yes, six of them. I'm the youngest of seven, and all of us were Princesses and daughters of King Triton, the ruler of both the kingdom and the seas.
Sonic: Wow, seven kids? I can't imagine the stress of having to raise seven kids, let alone just one!
Ariel: Well, we were never really as bad as you'd imagine. But compared to my sisters, you could say I'm the most rebellious.
Sonic: How so?

Sonic: And what happened after that?
Ariel: Well, after I returned to Atlantica, Flounder and Sebastian tried to keep the encounter a secret from my father. Meanwhile, I couldn't stop thinking about Eric, and everyone, my father included, could clearly tell I was in love. Everything I did made it clear to them - The dreamy look in my eyes, my good mood, it all made them look at me funny.
Sonic: And what about your friends? What'd they do about this whole thing?
Ariel: Well, Sebastian and Flounder tried to any knowledge of the encounter a secret from my father. They knew I'd be in trouble if he knew. And while Flounder was more successful at keeping things quiet, Sebastian, on the other hand, cracked when my father questioned him.
Sonic: And let me guess: He was ticked when he found out exactly who you were in love with?
Ariel: Pretty much. When he found out, he not only gave me a very stern talking to, but also destroyed my entire collection of human artifacts.
Sonic: (Wincing) Ooh...remind me never to get on your dad's bad side, Ariel.
Ariel: Duly noted. Anyway, I was devastated, and it was at that moment when Flotsam and Jetsam appeared.
Sonic: Flotsam and Jetsam?
Ariel: These two eels who work for Ursula, the Sea Witch, a former resident of our palace who was exiled to the far reaches of the ocean. When they showed up, they offered me the chance to join my Prince on the land, like I so badly wanted, and I took it.
Sonic: And what did they do?
Ariel: They took me to meet Ursula, who lived in the skeleton of an old sea monster far from Atlantica. When I met her, she claimed that while she used to be evil but had turned good and had decided to use her magic to help others get what they wanted. Being as naive as I was back then, I believed her. But in truth, she'd never atoned for her past actions, as she sought to take the throne from my father and rule as the Queen of the Ocean.
Sonic: And how did she offer to help you get what you wanted?
Ariel: Ursula told me she could make me a potion that would turn me into a human for three days, during which time I could get Eric to love me. And if he gave me True Love's Kiss in that timeframe the effect of the spell would become permanent. However, if he didn't, I'd return to my original form and be enslaved by Ursula. However, before Ursula could pull it off, I had to give her something in return for her making me human.
Sonic: And that was?
Ariel: My voice.
Sonic: WHAT?!
Ariel: Yes, you heard that right. I had to give up my own voice if I wanted to be with Eric. So after signing the contract to make the deal official, she took my voice from me and she used her magic to make me into a human. As soon as I was made into one, I found out firsthand that humans couldn't breathe underwater. Thankfully, Sebastian and Flounder were able to get me to the surface before I died by drowning.
Sonic: Talk about cutting it close!
Ariel: (chuckles) I know, right?
Sonic: So what happened next?

Ariel: True, Disney movies are aimed at families, but they do try to sneak in a few "adult" things past the censors, if you know what I mean.
Sonic: Oh, I know exactly what you mean. As you know, we Mobians are a bit more flexible with the whole nudity taboo. Take me, for example. I only wear my shoes and gloves. Any (clears throat) risque bits are covered by my fur. Still, there are some of us who do tend to dress modestly, like Amy. She's one of my few friends who is fully clothed, especially when compared to Sally, who wears only her boots and vest.
Ariel: Well, that's interesting to know, Sonic. So anyway, Scuttle fashioned for me a dress from an old sailing ship's sail and some rope. It wasn't the most glamorous of outfits, but at it covered a lot more than my seashell top ever could.
Sonic: And how did you find Eric?
Ariel: Actually, he found me. But he didn't know it was me because I couldn't speak. Regardless, he let me stay in his castle, where his servants bathed and clothed me. And you know that pink dress I was wearing back when you arrived? Well, that was the first human outfit I ever wore, not counting the sail dress.
Sonic: Well, that's cool. So what happened after that?
Ariel: Well, after I'd been bathed and clothed, Eric invited me to dinner, which was a little bit awkward because of my different beliefs about humans. But it was still enjoyable, as I was able to amuse Eric.
Sonic: A man always appreciates a girl who can make him laugh.
Ariel: True, true. For my second day, he took me on a tour of the kingdom, which I thoroughly enjoyed, and he took me on a romantic boat ride that evening. Of course, during that time, I hadn't gotten him to kiss me, so my friends decided to take action and try to encourage him to do it.
Sonic: Don't tell me, they sung about it.
Ariel: Oh, they did. Sebastian, as a conductor, led the swamp animals in singing.
Sonic: Did it work?

Ariel: Oh, it was. However, Scuttle was able to find out the truth by peering through the ship's porthole just as Ursula was preparing for the wedding, and when he did, he saw the mirror reflect her true self. He then told me, Sebastian, and Flounder, and we acted quickly to crash the wedding.
Sonic: And how'd that go?
Ariel: Flounder towed me to the ship while I clung to a barrel, Sebastian returned to Atlantica to alert my father, and Scuttle rallied an army of animals to cause a ruckus at the wedding, giving me just enough time to reach the ship. Also, during the whole struggle, the seashell necklace that Ursula held my voice in shattered, at which point my voice returned to me. At that point, Eric realized that I was the one he was looking for.
Sonic: And let me guess: He gave you True Love's Kiss?
Ariel: Almost. As he was about to, the sun set for the third time, and I was then turned back into a mermaid.
Sonic: Oh, that's a bummer!
Ariel: And Ursula then took me back into the ocean, where she was confronted by my father, who demanded that she release me. He even tried to destroy the contract we had signed, but even the trident couldn't destroy it.
Sonic: So what did he do?

Belle: My story begins in a small village where I lived with my father. It was a quiet place, but it still had its problems.
Sonic: Problems like?
Belle: Well, for one, my father and I were outcasts to the other villagers. He was an inventor, and they kinda saw him as crazy. And they saw me as odd, as I spent my days reading books rather than doing work like the others. And I was also the center of attention for the village's local hero and hunter, Gaston.
Sonic: And he was?
Belle: A strong man who was the hero of the town, hailed and praised by everyone there, including his bumbling sidekick Lefou. And he had his eye on me because I was the most beautiful girl in town.
Sonic: And how was he a problem?
Belle: Well, he was a boorish fool who didn't understand that I was more than just a pretty face. He just wanted me so he could boost his already overinflated ego, as he thought that because I was just as beautiful as he was handsome, I had to marry him.
Sonic: Yeah, I know how that feels. Some folks don't understand that "No" means "no".
Belle: You could pretty much say that he didn't understand that. He even tried to propose to me one day, and I rejected him. See, I wanted to be more than some housewife. I wanted a life full of adventure like the stories that I'd read about, and as fate would have it, I would have that life.
Sonic: How so?
Belle: Well, one day, my father set off to the fair to show off his latest invention, a steam-powered wood cutter, with our horse Philippe. But on his way there, he got lost, and stumbled across an old castle inhabited by a group of talking household objects and a monstrous Beast.
Sonic: What happened to him?
Belle: While the Objects offered him shelter, the Beast, who preferred to keep to himself, captured my father and threw him in the dungeon. I went to rescue him after Philippe had returned.
Sonic: And what happened then?
Belle: Well, when I found my father, I offered to take his place, which the Beast accepted. And because I was in the castle, the Objects were quite interested in seeing me and the Beast get together.
Sonic: Why?
Belle: You see, the Beast and the Enchanted Objects weren't always as they were. They all used to be human.
Sonic: You mean they were cursed? What happened? Why were they cursed?
Belle: The Beast used to be a human prince, but he was very spoiled, selfish, and unkind, and this showed when an elderly beggar woman showed up at his doorstep, offering him a single rose in exchange for shelter from a storm. He tried to turn her away, but she warned him not to be deceived by appearances, for true beauty is found within. That beauty was then revealed when the old woman revealed herself as a powerful Enchantress who punished the prince by turning him into his beastly form.
Sonic: So, this Enchantress conducted some kind of "test of character", and when the Prince failed, she turned him into a beast?
Belle: Pretty much. And when she did cast the spell, she left him with the same rose she'd offered. See, it was an enchanted one, and when she did leave it, she offered the Prince an ultimatum. If he could learn to love another and earn her love in return before the final petal fell, the spell would be broken, and he and the Objects, his servants, would be restored to their human forms. If not, then they'd be doomed to remain as they were... FOREVER.
Sonic: Sounds like a tall order for someone like him.
Belle: It was, at first. See, that first night I was there, the Objects tried to treat me and the Beast to dinner together, but it didn't work out, especially because he was very... belligerent.
Sonic: Though it sounds like the Objects were trying a little bit too hard. I mean, there are some things in life that you can't rush, and this whole "falling-in-love-to-break-the-spell" is something you can't rush.
Belle: True, true. Now while I refused, I later came down to explore the castle, and while I did, I came across the West Wing, where the Beast spent most of his time.
Sonic: And what did you find up there?

Belle: And I'm glad things turned out that way too. However, I still wasn't as happy as I should've been then. After all, I hadn't seen my father in a while, and was wondering how he was. Fortunately, the Beast had something that would allow me to see him: A Magic Mirror that was his only window on the outside world that could show the user anything they asked for.
Sonic: And he gave it to you?
Belle: He did, and I used it to find my father. When I asked it to show him to me, I saw him freezing in the cold snow, struggling to survive.
Sonic: What was he doing out there?
Belle: He was coming back for me. See, when he got back to the village, he tried to rally Gaston and the other villagers to help him rescue me, but they dismissed him. Remember, they thought he was crazy, and this was just more proof to them that he was.
Sonic: And because no one would help him, he decided to go and rescue you himself.
Belle: Yes. And as I saw, it turned out to be harder than it looked, especially since Philippe was here with me. But I was able to go and bring him back to our house in the village, where I helped him to recover. And what's more is that I was able to go to him because the Beast let me.
Sonic: The Beast actually let you go?
Belle: Yes, because he loved me, and wanted me to be happy, even at the cost of his curse being lifted.
Sonic: Sounds like you really did change him.
Belle: Yes, but while my problems with the Beast were just about over, my problems with Gaston got so much worse when I returned to the village.
Sonic: How so?
