AWESOME! Even though I have this weird,personal rule of only reading manga with a male main character unless the manga is AMAZING (yes, I have weird rules like this...), I would definately read your manga! 1) Because the character design and concept is good and 2) Because you (and your friend) were the ones who created it so it WILL be good!
