Practicing digital painting ^^ it was a pain and it took all day, but I did it, I made my first proper Photoshop painting

thanks! of course I had a lot of help using a reference for this, but I learned a lot about painting ^^ and that's also why I haven't worked on the comic lately, wanted to try out the brush and techniques one more time so i don't forget it. so now I'm working on a clothes design contest and will return to work on the comic the start of next month ^^ I was going to tell you, but i forgot

I really dont know how people can do so good with Digital media, especially the air brushing....MAN!

it's kinda like any media, it has it's good sides it has its flaws and it always takes time to learn
If you're ever interested in learning photoshop it's one thing you should remember: always have the brush opacity on 100% and move the flow down instead. i have wanted to use photoshop for two years but i didn't start before now because nothing turned out good because i didn't know this... i felt so stupid the i realized it was so easy fixing all my brushes xp

opacity at 100% always? THanks for sharing! i probably want to plan doing a digital artwork BUT the best way is to start out in GImp.

I've used other programs where you can take down the opacity (like SAI and maybe GIMP as well, i can't remember). but with Photoshop it basically becomes a marker witch is a real pain painting with x)
thinking that's a free program I think that is a good choice
