Fun fact much like the coconut the peanut is also only a nut in name but botanicaly unrelated. Coconuts are in fact a fruit and peanuts are legumes. So basicly peanuts are closer to beans and peas than acorns, hazels, chesnuts and walnuts. Cashews and almonds are in fact from fruit plants too. Another fun fact is that almonds are related to plums, apples, cheeries and other related fruits.
