Description
one of my chowder ocs! i have lots more drawings of her over here if youre curious. candywifes.tumblr.com/tagged/r… i might post some of them here on deviantart, but for now, they're on tumblr.
heres some stuff about her:
-PERSONALITY-
- she’s a mom! she doesn’t actually have kids, but she’s a very motherly person.
- she has a stand at the farmers market where she sells produce and occasionally baked goods.
- her dream is to have a bakery of her own.
- she’s SUPER embarrassing. here’s an example. a regular will walk up and as loud as ever, she’ll go “HIIIII SWEETIE ” or any other cutesy nickname she has for them. it embarrasses the hell out of people, but nobody can stay mad at her because she’s so nice.
- she’s the type of person that if she had embarrassing photos of you as a baby, she’d go around and show people. she exposes your soft underbelly in the most innocent way. it’s the worst! it’s honestly the worst.
- a random tidbit is she’s terrible at joke telling. she’ll tell some of it, revise it as she’s telling it, and will completely butcher the delivery. but she always follows it up with a big, hearty laugh that’s so genuine, because she doesn’t even care if she screws it up. she just likes the joke. and you do too, after you’ve heard her try and tell it.
- she’s very blunt and has little tact. that means if she’s disapproving, she’ll make it known. though she’s usually very positive and understanding, if it’s really warranted, she won’t hesitate to step in and give you a piece of her mind; she’s a very honest person.
- RELATIONSHIPS TO MAIN CAST -
MUNG: they’re good buddies. they do that thing where they spend an agonizingly long time having a conversation while chowder is bored as hell and wasting away. they have similar senses of humor and both harbor a knack for cracking really corny jokes, which makes their interactions pretty hard to watch. mung compliments her often and even fake hits on her occasionally, which they both think is Peak Comedy because he’s not actually serious. she becomes a family friend and he hires her to babysit chowder from time to time after realizing gazpacho never handles that job very well.
CHOWDER: not having any female figures in his life that he’s not afraid of on some level, he’s very hesitant about her for a while, but she thinks he’s a sweet boy and is very encouraging of him. she offers treats and free samples to him when he comes around, which slowly earns his trust, even though he hates how she pinches his cheeks and openly talks about how cute he is. when she’s first hired to babysit him, he begs mung to bring gazpacho back because rhubarb is “BORING”, but he ends up having a lot of fun and is excited to see her from that point onward.
SHNITZEL: he’s super nervous around her, so much that he either stutters like an idiot or clams up entirely. she thinks he’s just a shy fella. eventually, though, when he builds up the nerve, he starts helping her with errands when he can, and she swears up and down that he’s the softest guy in marzipan.
TRUFFLES: truffles thinks of her as sort of an airy tart, so she has some pettiness that she directs toward her. but after she witnesses rhubarb efficiently pop off at somebody, she earns her respect. they’re pretty good friends after that.
