Such a great choice for making the sub-bosses into actual boss itself. Awaiting to see the Moby Mk.II art in the future.

Since Moby was a pain in the ass for me, this guy's gonna be doing the same, yet it's be fun according to his in-game mechanics mentioned on the stream. Still patiently waiting for MME2 to release!

Moby MK.II vs. Octoper OA F T W ! ! !
This is quite well done! I especially like the colour scheme.

Ha ha yes, I'm almost compelled to hide it somewhere in the game as a poster or something. Could make for some fun foreshadowing or something (even a tamer version with Moby MkII on it).
Anytime, thank you Ch4dStar! If you're passionate about something you do for fun (not to mention something you've been passionate about or have done for years), don't let others ruin it for you (especially when the motives behind it are destructive, tribal, potentially illegal, or (maliciously) nonsensical). I mean, even if one is a huge critic, to shut one down completely or turn them (the person that made the fan work) away from a hobby removes the invitation for one to do it better. I've encountered plenty of young artists and amateur programmers that have gotten into fan game making and have been turned away in this part of the fandom from what I'd consider the most cynical or cancerous parts of a fandom (not saying critique is bad, no doubt, the issue is the nature of it); imagine what these people could have done if they weren't turned away in say 3-5 years (maybe even in less, because of what kind of things are available these days, compared to when I started when there was next to nothing)? I try to at least do my part in just trying to foster a positive and responsible environment where we can have fun (without people doing the types of negative things I've mentioned above), I want to at least encourage others to do the same as that's how things get better (again, it used to be more like that in my opinion, say 10 years ago (I can't speak for all communities in the MM fandom, but plenty were like what I am saying)).

Interesting!
It's just wonderful to see people chasing their dreams, no matter how many bad tries or reviews they get. That's what make them a better goal chaser. Backing down just makes people start taking advantage and walk all over you. Criticisms are relevant for how you may improve on certain aspects on your methodology and conceptualization, however, you have to make observations and experiments to determine whether what they say is helpful and/or may add some spice. While getting motivation for doing what you do, it is right to give out to others the same way. I honestly have faith for the next Mega Man Eternal game, despite not enjoying the physics of the previous game. Most boss battles were honestly frustrating, but fun nonetheless. It just happened to gape my strategy and I'm thankful for it.

Well exactly. If it were as simple as providing feedback like that, it would be no issue. And that's perfectly fine to look at things differently, I appreciate your thoughts. I normally look very carefully at what others say, this should be obvious. I mean, my jobs (over the years) literally have required me to be my own biggest devil's advocate (I have a responsibility to not bullshit others, it should be abundantly clear that I'm very transparent and try my best to do so), and take lots of criticism. Just like you might not enjoy some aspects of the first game, that's perfectly fine; others liked them, I mean I wouldn't have done some things the way I did if people didn't at the time. I was not making a carbon copy game, it never was meant to be a carbon copy game; it evolved based on the feedback I received at the time. I deliberately (based on the feedback I received) was trying to do things differently; some of those things worked, other things not so much. I was attempting to modernise the platforming as I think Mega Man games play too slowly at times. It also really doesn't help that MME was designed to be a very challenging game, and plenty will conflate these days old-school hard with bad design. Of course MME will have similar flaws to it that some really old games will have, some down to the levels were inspired by them (e.g. Wily Stronghold 3 was inspired by the final act of Ninja Gaiden on the NES). MME is not for newcomers and I'd never recommend MME to somebody that has not beaten some of the classic series games as it is meant for people that want a tougher Mega Man game. MMEII will have multiple difficulty and game speed settings for people to better adjust the difficulty, I realised after that not as many would love the joy (I get) out of beating a hard game. Also because I've realised a change in the mentality of some players, I am pulling back a bit on the deviations from core gameplay mechanics (with some small exceptions) and moving those instead to the ideas, story, and presentation. In fact, it was something very happy for me to see when Mega Man 11 did plenty of things I was hoping to do with MME and I believe it did them better.
Some people are blissfully unaware of how different things were in 2008. There was no MMU, no MM-RockForce, no MM9, nor MM10 even. Before people bought into a false narrative, it was very normal to talk about MME with MMU and MM-RockForce and MM-Revolution as the big four (this was of course before some other fan games came out, I'm trying to paint a picture here). Before I made MME, I did a lot of fan game work in my spare time (for years); however I did this in a time where people didn't openly share their projects, they maybe showed their friends. Unfortunately I was quite foolish when it came to backing up my work, so most of those projects may as well be gone to the abyss. I was still a kid (remember, I'm almost 30 now, 29 right now) when I started making fan games. It's not like I went into MME with zero experience, I had a good hunch of people at the time and was constantly getting people wanting to watch my fan games or to play them (it's one of the main reasons I starting using my YouTube channel as I have over the years). Heck, a fun bit of trivia is I created the first game development course (as an independent study course) in my home province because I didn't want to take a spare in high school (this was more than 10 years ago, in 2006-2007).
I generally got universal approval of MME up until release on my YouTube channel, and still hear from people with positive words (I almost always hear positive things (with at most some small nitpicks that are understandable) over negative things, I never get negative feedback from what would best be called "the normies", it's usually from very specific groups on the Internet that have a vested interest in perpetuating me as the "out group" or as a bumbling moron). I think some write it off after seeing some differences I decided to go with instead of actually giving it a chance, or just go with a tribal mindset when I see overtly negative things said as they're normally attached to false information associated with some made-up version of me. The general impression I've been given is it is liked, there are some things that were problems for them (getting used to the different physics is an example, I like the physics but like I said it's not for everybody), but was a great fan game in comparison to all the fan games out at the time. I must make myself clear, I'm not writing these things to demean those that didn't find as much fun in the game, that's all perfectly fine. The game is probably more enjoyable to those that love old-school punishing difficulty than those that expect the game to give you everything on a platter (not to say that's a bad thing either).
I was one of the first guys on YouTube fielding feedback on development on fan games, so the people claiming I don't listen are woefully out of touch with how I think. I constantly test and try new ideas, and am probably one of the biggest advocates (I don't like that word but it's appropriate) for unconventional approaches in the Mega Man fan game community. I will openly seek out people that disagree with me (it's what a good academic does), I just find it fascinating that those that I do encounter often do not want to engage in discussion or issue corrections when they propagate false information (something they have a responsibility to do, if they were decent people). Instead, these people will normally deflect and choose to compare me to something atrocious because they are insecure in the fact that unlike a lot of people I have a vested interest in my integrity and having consistent views. Not to mention, the only bigger Mega Man fan games people like me had to compare against when I started development were the Hard Hat games and Mega Man Rocks (which was new at the time I started doing the third iteration in 2008, these were preceeded by two older attempts, one in 2003-2004, another in 2006-2007; you will find nothing about these online except maybe me mentioning them during streams or some posts I might have on here). One thing that you could say is MME fell victim to one problem (this is a general software development issue they will teach you, I'd know because I used to help with courses like that): the time it took to make the game didn't catch up with the fandom and what was "on the curve" at that time (i.e. the expectations of some "customers" changed). I believe people have invented an alternative reality where I just sit around with my fingers plugging my ears where I genuinely am very hostile to others (when instead it's just me wanting to engage in discussion or point out mistakes made, especially when I believe those propagating said information are being bad actors); when in reality I take a lot of undeserved flack, have many of the things I've stated twisted heavily, and even have been compared in ways that could harm my professional life. These people are entitled to their opinions, but it doesn't mean they're right.
I ask for nobody's pity with respect to this, but I just wish people understood that I'm a human being, and ONE person made a (full) FREE game (that at the time was one of the largest fan games in this area) for others to enjoy; I owe nobody anything (even if I sacrificed a lot of opportunities to do this) and the amount of stress I and my family have gone through in the process is grossly understated. I personally know that many that like MME just avoid talking about it to avoid flack from some parts of the fandom, I invite these people to speak up against those that lie or mislead others. I've had some fandoms that I will not name try to incite people to go complain to my workplace, to attempt to destroy my livelihood and the decade plus of scientific training I've been building up. I genuinely believe these people are bad actors and must be confronted about their bad ideas, these people don't understand how dangerous it is to falsely accuse people of stealing (that can destroy an academic's career), especially when these very same people have no problem stealing from me (again, you might be aware of this) and doing all the things they claim I do (when I don't) as they've written me off as below being human. I'm a human being, I'm not infallible, but if somebody has ever actually went to my YouTube channel where I like being a goof (which I turn the dial to 20 on) or field feedback from others, they'd see a completely different person.
I appreciate the chat, I really don't like posting about these things as I try to avoid drama. Again, thanks for having faith in MMEII. The first one is a good fan game, but I understand it has some things in it that some don't like. This is OK.
