Description
Green-billed Toucan (Ramphastos dicolorus). The first painting in a series on birds of SΓ£o Paulo, actual size watercolor on Fabriano paper in the style of the artist and naturalist John James Audubon. The city of SΓ£o Paulo is surrounded by the Atlantic Forest and has over 700 species of animals listed, some rare and endangered. In late April, I saw a couple of toucans near my home in a Brazilian pepper tree (Schinus terebinthifolius), used in the design stage. This tree is native to Brazil banned in Florida.Related content
