Description
A species I made for Sagan 4 Alpha. This Shrew is my magnum opus. It's an attempt at a realistic take on a chimp-level Shrew, with a twist in that it has higher intelligence in the creativity and technology department due to the trends of its ancestry but is completely lacking in social intelligence and therefore any way to form a culture or civilization. If it is approved, and based on MNIDJM's reaction I suspect it will be, it will hold the new record for longest Sagan 4 species description ever--being more than twice the length of the previous record-holder. It is aesthetically heavily inspired by Redwall and how it depicts otters.

I used a different shading style for this one--Sagan 4 has a rule that backgrounds must be the same quality as the creature itself, and I accidentally went all-out with a semi-realistic background, so I had to spice up the Seashrog to match instead of just using the fast cel-gradient shading I usually do. I like the look I created, but it kinda hurt my wrist--not sure if I'll use it more often, I might restrict it to future shrogs.

I've decided to dedicate this species to Bonosaber/Pithesaber, the first person to try to create intelligent Shrews. You had a pretty cool idea, you were right about the plents vs carpozoans problem, and the rest of the Sagan 4 team was wrong to treat you the way they did at the time. If you're out there somewhere reading this, the current week is named after you and despite many setbacks the Shrews are now proliferating all over the world!
