I mean you are just assuming her sexuality to be homosexual, and you're taking Jaque's actions out of context to portray him as a bad guy when you consider the actions and behaviors of other individuals, including trying to remain autonomous from the government of a violent military dictator, as well as preventing the disintegration of his family through infighting.Β It doesn't help that Winter abandoned him to work for Military Dictator Tin Man Allegory.

Ilia is probably the first confirmed LGBT character RWBY has had. And as for Jacques, there is *no* excuse for how he treated Weiss in Volume 4. He's by far the *worst* parent on the show, which considering the other major bad parent is a ruthless bandit queen who abandoned her daughter, is saying a lot. That, and he is beyond horrible to the Faunus in his employ, which played a huge role in informing Adam Taurus's hatred of humanity (though by no means justifying his acts of evil in the series, or his yandere-ness toward Blake), so even if Ilia was straight, it's *highly* doubtful that she would enter into a relationship with this guy. Not willingly, in any case.
